fuct 02-06-2013 08:28 AM

considering i bought mine new in 2010 for 37,700....... the salesman in me says pass.

Minsu 02-06-2013 08:30 AM

Hmmm what would u say a good otd deal is?

Gauge 02-06-2013 08:59 AM

IDK that is 10k off MSRP. It's 6k off from what I paid new.

Maybe try for 30k.

Cuz he screams "NIIIIISSSSSMMMOOOOOOO" out the window as he drives by the dealership everytime. That touched the salesman so he got a good deal.:rofl2: JK JK...

Yeah Tom Peacock Nissan has a lot of people there that don't mess around, which I like...
They're just at the outside of the loop, lol

I bought mine in September of 2010 for 36,490 brand new off there show room floor. It had a sticker price of 42,990.
Kind of a end of the month push it was the 28th of the month.

MJB 02-06-2013 11:28 AM

I don't think 32k "OTD" is a bad price. I don't know what New Jersey sales tax is, but lets say it's 8%, then the asking price of car from the dealer is around 29.5 before taxes and registration fees. Dealer can't control sales tax....

Only 8k miles on it too? Go for it if you like it!

fuct 02-06-2013 11:36 AM

also just imagine how much fun that last owner had in that 8k miles......... not sure if that is a worry to you or not. being a 2010 your warranty is almost up. just to give you an idea ive had my rear sub frame, csc, and now fuel pump go out and be replaced under warranty.....

if you can get them to extend the warranty for free then maybe its a good deal.

Rusty 02-06-2013 12:59 PM

Paid $35,000 for a used 2011 with 8,000 miles on it in 12/2011. ;)

Minsu 02-06-2013 03:25 PM

fuctttttt whyyyy woullddd you sayyyy thattttt.

see now i gotta call them back and ask for warranty.

what happens then?

Hey very be careful and make them define the word "ship". To save cost, the dealership may just have a sales guy drive it back instead of actually transporting the car with a carrier. That's what a dealership tried to do with me (and was prepared to do it behind my back even after I explicitly said I didn't want anyone putting extensive miles on the car)

fuct 02-06-2013 04:24 PM

im just trying to look out for ya man..... :\ i would hate to pay for the things that broke already. im at 49k miles btw

stevent85 02-06-2013 04:49 PM

I bought a 2011 nismo with 8k miles back in august. Got it for 31.5k. I think you can go lower. Id shoot for 28-30k.

Are we just speaking the price of the car or OTD?

stevent85 02-06-2013 08:05 PM

That was OTD. I haggle like a mofo haha.

Hotrodz 02-06-2013 08:06 PM

I bought my 2010 from CarMax in June 2012 with 11K on it for just a little more than that, 33K. I got a 5 year extended warranty from them because there was only one year left on the original warranty.

tower74 02-07-2013 09:13 PM

Drag them along until the end of the month. I was told that if the car isn't sold by the end of the month they have to pay 3% of the cars value to the bank. I waited until Jan. 31 and they dropped the price by $4000 for a brand new 2013 ( 17 miles ) and they stacked a 3 year/36,000mile ( now 6 years 72,000) warranty, 6 years of oil changes and a lifetime warranty on the tranny and engine. They will drop their pants to get the car off the lot if you show real interest in the car.

Minsu 02-08-2013 12:43 AM

duddeee niceee advice, ill wait its gonna snowstorm tmr anyways! haha

Airwalk 02-10-2013 09:20 PM

I just bought my Nismo for $25000. It was listed for $29,995. Go to Edmunds.com and look up TMV (total market Value) and see what the Z is selling for in your area. If the TMV is lower than what they are selling the car for use this as a tool to get what you think is fair. I did this and got 5K off my car!

Minsu 02-11-2013 07:48 AM

No way how many miles did u have on it. And what part of the state r u in. I'm in nj I don't think 25 otd is possible on the east coast? Correct me if I'm wrong

Airwalk 02-11-2013 04:08 PM

I got it from Lehigh valley honda, Emmaus Pa. list price $29,995 Traded in my 350z talked down to $25k im driving it now. I have an credit rating over 800 that had a lot to do with it I suppose, but even if i did'nt Why would you pay over value for anything? I got it at 6042K miles, you can go to the website and look its still on there, i used autotrader.com to find her

Sep of '11, paid $33k flat + tax, private sale, for an '11 w/ 1,700 miles.

Car has a hair over 5k miles now..... Geez, I need to drive it more.........

Have no idea what your taxes are, but you should be able to get it down 1-2 G's.

Picked up a yellow '09 Touring with 18k miles for $25k, including additional 5 year warranty to 84k miles. Carmax. Carmax always seemed like a Wal-Mart of used cars, but when I actually looked into what they had, they had some mint comditione Z's. Wanted a yellow Z, so I was limited to '09 (a bit older than I'd want to buy ideally), but the car is in mint shape. Recommend Carmax. Maybe their prices aren't the lowest (though I think my proce was pretty good),but they offer some super clean cars.

blacknismoZ 03-22-2013 01:59 PM

Damn thats like asian/jewish haggling level! lol
