2012 base + sport at price check

Hi guys
long time lurker; bout ready to join the 370Z family. I find a 2012 base + sport AT with 6000 miles, listing price is $31000, certified. I am thinking offering 29900 OTD, wat you guys think.

Just wait a few more weeks and they will have to price it as a 1 yr. old used car, you'll save thousands more.

On a similar equipped 2011 Z trade in is only about $25K, so you should be able to get a 2011 for $26K right now and if you wait till January 1st, the 2012 Z should be really priced around $26k-$27K

thx for tip, well, my offer got shot down, Is it worth paying extra dough for the certified one, hardly see any Z with certification.

Certified is meaningless, its not worth or any better than a $50 car fax report.

If you really want the car a fair deal is half way between trade in and retail, most of the time you should be able to buy the car at about $500 above the trade in price.

Go back to the dealer and explain that the 2012 will be 1 yr. old shortly and all odds are no one is going to come in and buy it before the first of the yr.

When you go back make sure that you insist on only dealing with the sales manager, as the salesman is only his flunky and really wasting your time.

it also matters A LOT how long a car has been on the lot. seriously that tiers or scales where the price changes depending on how long its been there.

Hold out if you can. I just got my 2011 base w/sport package last week for 25,995. It had 4172 miles on it.

Why did you steal my thought process??? Lol

To be honest, I'd offer more than trade in ONLY if it's certified... The trade in on my car is $24-25k right now... My FAMILY member at the dealer said the best he could do is $20k... Shows how much the dealers fúck people on a trade...

Just wait it out, there will be plenty more

But your deal isn't spectacular, even if they accepted it
