'11 base for 22k
 

Picked up my 2011 base with 33k miles on it for 22k. It was in a minor accident and the driverside air bag had depolyed. Just wondering if 22k was still a good deal considering it did have to go to a bodyshop and have the airback repacked. KBB at very good, which includes some body work, says private sale is around 26k and 28k if sold through a dealership.

Is it a salvage title? There are three airbags on the drivers side so which ones went off? It takes a pretty good hit to make them go off.

I would of got a nice 09 for around that with no accidents. Cars never seem to be the same after an accident.

Not a salvage title and it was the side curtain airbag is what the car FAX said. I don't plan on selling it anytime soon, but just curious if the deal was as good as it seemed when I bought it. I test drove a few other Z's when I bought though and couldn't feel any difference in the way it drove. All the body panels line up really well and there is no mismatch of colors.. Looks like the body shop was relatively competent.

Don't ask the question now. Should have asked it before. It's too late now so just go enjoy it with no regrets.

Just wait tell you get a few good months of sun on that new paint job and then see how well it looks. Love the UV fade from cheap paint!!!!!

Nah, it's all good. New to this Z but not forums lol. I keep my car washed and sealed so I hope I don't need to worry about the fading. All in all i love the car and am increadibly happy to have stepped into it at this price point. Considering it was this or a 3.8 genisis I believe this was definitely the better of the two cars.

The genesis has crap build quality, they start deteriorating BIG TIME after like 30k miles, and the dealers seem to HATE replacing things

Dang and it was on my shortlist when I was shopping...sexy lines but I couldnt get over the cheapy dash and knobs.
