Price check on 2011 please!
Hey guys :)
Long story short, I went to a dealership to look at one of their used cars which was 2011 MB Touring w/ Spt Pkg and Nav with 4544 miles on it. The car looked fine inside and outside and it had no reports of accident on carfax. They said they'll hand it to me for $34020.30 out the door. What do you guys think? Thank you in advance :) |
That's about $5,000 cheaper then I've seen listed with those packages and amount of miles, I think it's pretty decent but everyones going to tell you to try and bring it down even more
|
I got my brand new 2011 base model Z for that much, so yeah I think there is room to reduce :tiphat:
|
I Got my mblack sports package 11 for 30k with 3.2k miles
But you have touring +nav but its not to bad of a price I think . Maybe try to get it down slightly |
This vehicle was priced at 34k before TTL o.0 and the price they are offering me is 34k OTD. You guys think I still have some more room or should i just go for it?
|
Sounds good to me, take it

I judge a good price on the trade in value, because lets say you get in a bind or something and you need to trade it in. the KBB trade in value is the LOWEST estimate... On this car in good condition you're over $32k, MD car tax 6% = $1,920, plus all your other BS fees, you'll be over $34k, so $34k OTD is a good deal
PLEASE CHECK THE BUMPER FOR A GOOD PAINT JOB!!! Our family friend is a regional manager of CarMax, and he told me that 99.99% of all of the cars that come in get their bumpers repainted So check for overspray, check for taped off marks by running your hand around the bumper (feel for a lip, the taped off area will be thicker, making a lip), and along the edges. I think you should check the WHOLE car for overspray and taped off marks. Just because its not on carfax doesn't mean it wasn't in an accident. It just means insurance and the authorities weren't involved. I had a DEALER try to sell me another Maxima (because mine was sitting in their lot totaled) and I was like, oh, nice base package, he insisted that it was an SV because of the leather. (Sorry, I know my damn Nissans too well) Showed him that it wasn't an SV because it didn't have fog lamps, or turn signals on the mirrors and the color of stitching on the seats didn't match the rest of the car. Car was also in a fender bender, it was bondo'd, there was overspray on the battery, and the bolts to the fender had been removed. He thought I was talking ****, brought the manager of the dealershit out, and the manager sided with me... Moral of my long arse story, sorry by the way, KNOW what you're getting into! Oh, and feel free to text/call me when you're there, I'm more then happy to tell you what to look for more in depth, and what to feel for. You can shoot me pics too and I'll see if it's been tampered with (310)eight nine three-4207 |

Now that's looking out! |

I have learned a LOT from this forum, I have met a LOT of amazing people, and I believe my general knowledge on cars is quite large, so I try to spread the love, and the knowledge, and connections (I think) I have. LOL |
Thank you guys for your replies! I will be at the dealership this Friday again to take even closer look at the car! I sure will follow your input on the paint, DEpointfive0!
