Going to Purchase My Z Need help with Many Things

Ok so im getting ready to purchase a Z, went through the TMV and with sports package it comes to around 35k now i think that, that price is without TTL and Random Fees. I wanna maybe Lease it first the new 2012 one before they start doing 2013 cause the new one without fangs is horrendous....
So i need to make a purchase soon but buying cars 101 says dont make a hasty decision, I feel that 35-38k is a bit excessive for the Z and was hoping to get a better deal once i get to the dealer...I need help and your opinions before i go to get it. Its gonna be Pearl White, Sport Packaged, MT.

Help, Opinions, and Advice are all welcomes.

9-11% off sticker is about as good as it gets unless they have some sort of promotion going, which they don't often do on the Z. I went through the Costco auto purchase program, prices were all preset and very reasonable, very much a no-hassle kind of a deal.

Choices are somewhat limited on 2012's, you can't order one anymore, so you are stuck with what they have on the lot or what they can find at another dealer.

Base + Sport package with typical options invoices for about $34K. If you don't have a trade-in you should be able to get one for invoice if you hardball, but remember, you may not find too many PW base + sports to play with. Unfortunately when the "new model" comes in and no one wants the old you have a great shot at a killer deal but it does seem like there are a few people wanting to grab a '12 while they can, so you best get moving before the dealers get wise. :)

If you are getting the exact Z you want, grab it while you can. Otherwise you will get a deal, but most likely not on the exact one your heart desires.

Get on the internet and check out web sites like autotrader, cars.com. I purchased two Z's out of state and got killer deals on both. Wait till the 2013start arriving. You should be able to get the car you are looking for a little below dealer's cost. The dealer makes over a thousand bucks if he sells it at his cost because of the 3% mfg. hold back. Every once in a while the mfg will juice up the deals and give the dealer a coupon worth a couple of thousand dollars provided there are a bunch of them for sale. The 2008 Z I bought had a $2500 rebate to the dealer. These discounts are not advertised nor will most dealers tell you unless that vehicle has been sitting on the lot for a long time. Another good time to buy a vehicle is toward the end of the month or at the end of the year. Dealers get kickbacks from the mfg. if they sell so many cars in a month/year.

You gotta be patient and not get in any hurry. Falling in love with the car at first sight will wind up not being to your advantage. I like dealing with people over the internet. Salesman are nothing but order takers who have to go thru the sales manager and sometimes thru the general manager. A waste of my time.
