new or used

I am currently trying to decide what to buy, not what car that is the 370z nismo of course. However i do not know if i should order one new or buy a used one with low miles? The prices are so different! is there really an upside to buying a new nismo 370z?

Yes, it's new.

You need to weigh up a host of factors: namely can you afford new, benefits of Nissan’s warranty, resale value, multiple k$$$ depreciation of a new car as soon as you drive it out of the dealer’s, do you want a difficult to spec car (are you fussy about colour, options etc).

When you test drive and examine a used car, can you tell if it has been abused? Changes and upgrades from one year to another: are any important to you? Are you planning on adding some serious mods? If so, it might be best to buy used and use the saved cash for mods.

etc etc

i know that buying knew it would be well new. However if you look at the depreciation of the car after 5k on it it is almost the cost of TT. That is why i wanted some other opinions. I am planning on doing some serious mods that is why I was asking for the actual benefit other than I was the first and only owner.

If you are planning on doing serious mods, then, rather buying a used Nismo, buy a brand new base for similar/lower price. Use the savings for mods.

It totally depends on your budget. although everyone knows that there must be some difference between new and old so i suggest you to purchase new one as it would be better although it will cost you more but there will be some warrenty regarding its usage.
Thankyou

Personally I chose new for a few reasons. One I plan to keep this car for a very long time. I hold on to vehicles more than 10 years, so flipping in & out of vehicles is not me. With new, you have some advantages such as warranty, knowing the history of the car & the ability to start of with a pristine vehicle & able to mod as I see fit or not at all, instead of wondering or finding out what type of hatchet job the previous owner did. While not saying all people's mods are done poorly, there are those out there.
I think you have to look at your vision for the car. If it's something you are going to sell a year or 2 or 3, or track & go mod crazy on it then I would buy used, but if you plan on keeping the vehicle for years to come, the fact of knowing that you have been the only owner give some satisfaction.
I have bought plenty of used & new vehicles over the years & it really depends on what makes you feel good.

My 2011 was $49k new. I didn't pay anywhere near that when i bought it a year later used. That's why I tend to buy used cars. I still have 2 years of factory warranty and a 7/100,000 extended.

I bought mine used with just over 7k miles from a Toyota dealership. Their certification program included a lifetime warranty on the car through some 3rd party group. And it saved me over $10k.

My parents have never bought any car used though, since they would probably drive the car more gently than any previous owners would have.
I drive it hard sometimes so I don't think anything the previous owner did would really make a difference.

Buying any car with financing is paying intereste on a depreciating asset, even used ones. True, new cars depreciate further faster, but imo it is worth it. Buying a used car is buying someone else's problem.
