2012 Base MT

I've been searching around for a Z. The best deal I found so far for a new 2012 Base model with MT in blue for $30,700. Is this a good price?

I was originally considering going the used route, but since Nissan is offering 0% financing, I have been considering buying new.

Thats a pretty good price. You could get a used with sport package with a few miles for around there.

Thanks.
I have had a tough time finding a used one around me, that's one of the reasons I am leaning more towards a new.
I found one manual in blue that is within a reasonable distance (400 miles from me) at a dealer.
I'm pretty sure I'm going to buy it within the next 2 weeks.

Yeah man go for it. Nothing better than being the first owner of the car and the car being brand new. Good luck

So I ended up buying the Z yesterday.
Decided against the blue and chose a white instead.
After it was all done I was able to get it for $29,598.
Here is a picture of it when I got back home from the dealer.

The blue was my first choice, but the white was the better deal and much closer.
Thanks, the lawns here look pretty nice during this time of the year when it rains quite a bit.

I think the white looks great, probably one of the top 2 colors.

White is one of my favorite colors for cars. It was my second choice at first, but then I saw a blue in person and it didn't look the same. I didn't like the blue as much then.
I'm glad I went with the white.
Just got it tinted today and it looks really good.

I bought my 2011 base, auto in march 2011 for 29k, no trade or any crap like that either.

Magillus 05-26-2012 11:35 PM

Nice price, I am currently negotiating price and so far got 31,300, which is almost invoice price for MT6 base. .
Not a lot of them around to choose from. No blue or red in Chicago area

edit:
I wait for 2013 lava red in autumn or spring, when prices would settle.
Dealer convinced me that new cars will go for prices higher then MSPR (probably only to guide me to by now, with prices close to invoice).

dawudih 05-27-2012 12:54 AM

why not fly down to dallas or houston & pick one up for cheap? make a road trip out of it...Trophy nissan in dallas or baker nissan in houston are both whores when it comes to pricing.

Listen, They work for you. You're the one with the check book so you make the terms & conditions of the sale, not them. The car will have been out for 4 years in 2013 & he's telling you it will be more expensive?:ughdance:

They actually had some base, manual 2010's for $27000. My wife can't drive a manual (or an auto for that matter).

I have a 2013 6mt w/sport package on order. I negotiated a price with the dealer based on 2012 pricing, with one exception which I think is only right. If the invoice pricing for the 2013 goes up or down, let's say a $100, our negotiated price will go up or down by that exact same amount.

A dealer may be willing to negotiate a good price if he knows you are serious (I put $2k down) and if he knows his inventory will be sold as soon as he gets it (he makes a quick buck at really no cost). Hope this can be of some help.

Base 2009 6mt Z, MSRP $29,930. Invoice $28,043.

Base 2012 6mt Z, MSRP $32,280. Invoice $30,241.

Maybe some truth to it being more expensive. But what is also true is that you're the one with the check book, so I hope you find the right price for you.
