Dealership treatment..

So i went to one of the local Nissan delaers to day with the intention of buying a 370Z.

In my past experiences, when i walked into a dealership, they would come out of nowhere to help you out!

I waited on the showroom floor for 25 min and nobody said a word to me. I saw 2 salesmen joking at their desks bullshittin'. A few looked my way and went on their way.

When i got home, i read reviews on that dealership and saw they got really ratings from people.

Has anybody ever been treated like that before?

25 minutes is a long time that you don't get noticed. Go somewhere else.

It has happened to me a couple of times but those were when I preferred not to be disturbed checking out new cars.

I would call the sales Mgr and Let him know they missed a sale and you wouldn't be back.

And like it has been said Go elsewhere

what did you wear when you went to the dealer...a lot of times sales people will judge you buy how you look (too young, or to underdressed) and they wave you off.

If you go in in slacks and a shirt, they will all run to you, if you go in shorts and a t-shirt you generally have to talk to someone, at that point you usually end up talking to the sales manager, which may be better or worse depending on how they do business.

Can you post the dealership you are having issues so future buyers know to avoid them? thanks!

This type of thing happens all the time. Happened to everyone at least one time.

When I walk in it is always pure business (shorts & t-shirt or polo). Now if you walk into a BMW, then they will give you the same BS treatment. Most of them will especially the BMW off of 59 in Houston. Now the sale people at the Porsche dealership off of 59 in Houston will flock to you like no other. Still wearing short & t-shirt or a polo.

Just grow a beard, won't matter what you wear then, beard will command respect.

If you are unable to grow a nice bushy manly beard, well, then there's your problem.

Would looking like MOSES or OSAMA would attract better in a dealership?

This never happens to me for some reason. Even if I go in just a T-shirt and shorts. Then again whenever I do go to buy a car I will have already done all of the research I need so when I go to buy I just go straight to the front desk and tell them I'm here to buy whatever. Salesman comes over, I tell him again with the price and take it or leave it. Cash money. Or bank draft, either way it's cash to them lol

It happened to me at a different car dealer that I recently looked at, I actually had to walk up to the service desk to ask for a salesman! Dont sweat it, I laughed off the guys price and drove right off, ill never deal with them again.
