'12 Nismo Priced well?

I'm looking at a Pearl white nismo, yet again if any of you remember me from a few months ago, and the sticker price is 39998. This time with approval from muh bank! Yay goodbye 2002 chevy malibu crap car! What is a "real" good price for this car.

If I want invoice should I ask for lower than invoice and talk the dealer up or should I just flat out tell him I want invoice(ish) I'm really bad at this I"m afraid to say :( I wish it was like buying some skittles. The price is set by the market, not by some third party dealer of skittles :)

Oh and if anyone is wondering, I'm tired of not having a sports car just because I live here. Imma do it anyways.

I would try and offer under the internet sale price, so somehwere around 36-37k? Not too far away from that price though, then the dealer may not take you seriously. :icon17:

put in the offer of 37, we'll see how he comes back. If he comes back with 100 bucks off or something rediculous I might just have to find someone else ><

Got this from trucar dealer... doesn't excite the negotiator in me.... At least the invoice price seems honest. I'll say I don't understand why I would have to pay ad fee's, I don't even live in his region lol...

Quote:$39,674.00
Price Comments:TrueCar Open Network Quoted Price ($39674.00) = Invoice Price ($38569.00) + Options ($0.00) + Regional Ad Fees ($200.00) + Destination Fee ($780.00) + Dealer Offset from Invoice ($125.00) - Dealer Cash ($0.00) - Customer Incentives ($0.00) - Program Incentives ($0.00)

As expected, the dealer in the original post only came down 500 bucks :/

so bring the guy down to 38900 which I felt was a fair price, he is getting slightly over invoice and I"m getting a few grand off MSRP. So I'm all excited that I'm finally getting my car I've been eyeing and he says....

"just want to be up front with you the car has 400 miles on it, we had to move it from ohio"...... I'm like... uhhh yeah imma have to dwell on this. That is so not cool. When it's the last thing you say to a customer it's not being "up front"

UPDATE: Dealer came down on the price to 38500. This is an extremely good price I feel, below invoice I think? So I am going to grab it. I'm glad he was able to go down a bit due to the miles. He has also agreed to start the warranty at the mileage the car is currently at. I hope this threads convinces someone else to take the path of trucar and make car dealerships compete and make them honest. I hate haggling but I managed, so can you!

Sorry to hear. A brand new car with 400 miles needs a discount to offset for the miles.

I paid somewhat under invoice for mine. It was a model year old at the time (2010 purchased summer '11). It had something like 20-30 miles on it. I got it before the quake, so perhaps that's caused supply shortages and driven prices north, but I wouldn't feel like you missed much on that dealer's offer.

I would use Autotrader to locate them and send emails to 3-4 dealers. Let them know what you're doing with full disclosure and say you're just looking for the best deal OTD on the car. Somebody will be willing. Especially if you are willing to get it from an area where it snows--they have a hard time moving cars like this in the winter.

I bought my 2011 Z at Continental Nissan in La Grange, IL. I saw last week they have a 2012 gun metal grey Nizmo list at an internet price of 37???. I cannot remember the extact price. You can go to their website and see if is still available.

SS66 02-23-2012 03:37 PM

I just checked and it is listed back to sticker. Last week it was priced at an internet pricing special at 37???. I want to say 37889 but I can't remeber exact total figure.

400 miles is a good amount to get a discount.

Ended up getting this car for 38500. Hope that helps other Nismo buyers.
