new car info

i went to the dealership and im planning to buy a new white 2012 pw with sports package for 34 thousand and some change. Do you think this is a good deal?

THat seems to be a good price... I think you could get them down a little more especially with the 2013's coming out with the revisions

Im going with a 2012 myself since i like the looks better and i estimated around $34k out the door here in SC... Our "tax" is only $300 bucks though for any car.

So depending on where you live the out the door price may vary slightly.

I used to live in Maine and our tax for a $35-$36k vehicle would have been around $900.... So same car $600 difference in just that.

So did I dude. 33k+ 3Ktax =36KOTD

But to the op, I think it is a fair deal, but just remember depending on where you live, if you add taxes and other charges, then you will probably be around 36-37k OTD.

YEah no doubt gotta love SC :)

I was shocked when i got here! I mean Maine was only around a 1000 bucks but what a change!

My cousin is in the military stationed in NJ and when he bought a 25K car brand new it was like 3-4K too! I was blown away!

Plus we dont have inspections or emissions here in SC!! TEST PIPES all the way! haha

fml cant wait to actually find out the exact tax. ill let u guys know tomorrow

nmjaxx9 02-20-2012 02:39 PM

Yeah bought my Z from NJ as well, 3k tax. :shakes head::icon17:

The homes and property taxes down here as well are substantially cheaper then my old home town... My condo in Maine was around 3600 a year for property taxes...

The homes my wife and I looked at down here are Brick/Loaded 3000 Sq Ft 2 car garage near the lake for $900-$1000 a year!!

Edit- NY/NJ i wasnt complaining about Maine Taxes as i know you guys get killed with them!

I live right across the bridge from Portland :icon17:, in Middletown.

But yeah we were pretty much hit with snowstorms left and right, suprisingly though, this season has been very calm and quiet, which is scaring a lot of people because they are like "WHeres all the snow???!!" :icon17:
