New Car purchase question

Hello folks just wanted to get your opinion on this matter. Last night i was at my local dealer ( Garden Grove ) Nissan and i was looking to purchase a 2012 370 Touring. The problem is the dealer currently don't have one in stock but offered that if i decided to purchase one that they would locate a car and have it transferred to their dealership, only catch is i would sign all the necessary paper work to complete the new car purchase. I declined and mentioned that in order for me to sign i have to be able to physically see the car being purchased. Also, they mentioned something that if i don't like the car i can opt by not driving the car off their lot. Your suggestion is welcome ....

The way it's done is, you should drive the 2011, see if you like it. If you do then put a deposit on one, & only if you are ready & happy to buy it. You can't expect a dealer to get you/spend money on a car if you're not sure if you want one.

Technically the sale is not complete until you take delivery. If you are getting a bad feeling from this dealer, go to Fontana Nissan. They're fairly close to you and are a sponsor of these forums. People on this forum have had a good experience with them.

They are trying to take you off the market, and cover their own butts so they don't take a vehicle in stock and then get stuck with it , if you decline.

I would just verbal tell them if the car checks out fine and the numbers are agreeable I will buy the car.

If they can't understand that, go somewhere else.
