Nismo price quote PLEASE HELP!

Hey guys, I just got a quote on a new 2012 370Z Nismo edition. The quoted price was "$38,806.00 plus tax & license fees.

Now I live on Long Island and this dealer is in California. Does this seem like a good price, or a good idea? I wouldn't be able to do a test drive (obviously) and I would have to deal with shipping it across country.

Does the price seem good? It appears to be below invoice, though I am not sure what extra cost will be tacked on with tax & license fees.

Help me out here, am I missing anything? Anything else I should be asking for, etc. Help me make a good decision.

It's a great price.

I suppose, haven't gotten an answer yet on the extra fee costs. Also will be looking for costs of shipment. I looked at one place and looks like about 1K+ because of the enclosure to protect the car during transfer plus location and destination pickup.

Any reason why you are buying it from CA if your on the East Coast? There has to be more nismo's available. There is a black one for sale up here in CT down the road from where i work at the dealership....

Are you only looking to get nismo, or would you get a fully loaded sport/touring?

Jasonopolous 11-28-2011 02:51 PM

If you give me the dealars info I would gladly ask them to quote me. There was one that I had seen on autotrader that was there but it got ripped off the site and they told me it was already on hold for someone.

But definitely yeah give me the info, i'll give them a call. That close I could just take the ferry and drive it home.

I am definitely more interested in the Nismo. I like the body design, reminds me of a Porsche, which is my childhood favorite car but definitely out of my price range.

oh... well my old 370z is at a dealer in NJ so its local and they have lowered the price a bunch, its fully loaded but not a nismo. good luck finding the nismo though

ok, info is below. I bought mine from there in 2010, I forget what they listed for then but i got it for $37,500... think it was $1500 under asking price??

Also, when I was looking some dealerships would tell me all the locations of Nismo's being sold. You should try Nissan of Fairfield, CT also...

Bruce Benett Nissan - Bruce Bennett Nissan - Danbury CT area Nissan dealer in Wilton. Danbury CT Nissan dealer Norwalk Connecticut Nissan Fairfield CT Nissan dealer Brewster New York dealer
I clicked the link and a coupon popped up for $500 bonus cash towards a new car. Not sure about all that but...

Am I paying too much ??

martin82 11-28-2011 08:47 PM

I think anything under 38K is a great price for the nismo.

TACTICLY 11-28-2011 09:14 PM

Car is 40850 for like 1800.00 off How do You get to 38000.00 there is only 2800-3000 in car ?

Its not a bad price, I think you may be able to work it a little lower but its a 2012 model and its 2011 so you won't have so much room to go below invoice if it was a 2011.

That will have some prices for Nismo's in it. for reference I got mine (2011 in March) for 37,700ish +taxes and fees. Though I understand the 2012s are a little more expensive.

Jasonopolous 11-29-2011 01:55 PM

Yeah I got another quote from a dealer in Connecticut and they offered me a low price of 40K. So I guess 38K is pretty good, though I would still have to contend with shipping it across the U.S. Boooooooo.
