During MDW I signed a contract and put down deposit for brand new 2011 black nismo for 39192 which had to be located first. For those past few weeks the dealer had no luck to get the car. Finally today the sales manager called me and said that theyre going back and forth with some dealer and that the only way for them to get the car for me is for 42200 because thats the price the other dealer wants for their nismo. Im going to talk to them in person later today. Are you guys think that they are trying to pull a trick and make me pay more or is it possible that they actually telling the truth?

Well, there are a lot of factors involved in a dealer trade.

Let's say the trading dealer wants a versa back and go invoice to invoice. That would mean the dealer you are buying from would get a NISMO with the versa Hold back , and the trading dealer will get a Versa with a NISMO holdback.

But with that said, it's really only a difference of 900-1000 (on holdback), so I don't see how the price is going up 3K??

So I went and spoke to the dealer. They claimed that the dealer with nismo asked for $2000 on top of the invoice/swap. I kindly asked for my deposit back and walked out. They wouldnt go below 42200.

I guess owning a nismo needs to get pushed back a little. Hopefully I will get one sooner than later. Thanks for quick response Fusznissan
