Talking over the phone/emails. 2011 370z touring/sport.. what do you think

even tho i was looking for a 2010... left over

A nissan dealer in houston area contacted me with a brand new 2011 white 370z
touring + sport.... automatic. (only 10miles on it)

was asking for 36.9k + ttl
then he lowered it to 35.9k + ttl.

i dropped it down to 35k + ttl.
he replied he didn't want to lose my business over $900 and told me to come in.
i just gave him an excuse to get back.

can i do better?... if yes, by how much?

want to try and get the better price as possible...

(ps. still looking for used 09 or leftover *10 new... :tiphat: )

If he's willing to do $35k, I would go for it. That seems like a really good price since invoice on that car is around $37,842. Just make sure it's the exact car you're talking about, Auto, Touring, Sport package.

That does sound like a good price, I'd just see if he could find you one in M6 ;)

Which dealership is it in Houston?

the price of 36.9k was the invoice price... but can't you buy it 2500 below invoice??

36.9k is probably before destination charge which is another like $760, at least according to edmunds. 2500 below invoice probably on a 2010 but not sure on a 2011. If you get it for 35k, I think that's pretty good, 1900 below invoice.

You can always try to go lower but you know it's up to the dealer to accept it or not.

oh yea... was reading the other guy's thread... the sales person pulled that japan earthquake crap on me... with limit cars

i did not hesitate... and replied... that not much people are buying the Z
and with this economy and gas going up...........

he cut me off and said we're not going to argue about this...

i chuckled :p

even if 35k + ttl... is an awesome deal...
still out of my range.

i guess im looking at 38k otd.
might just stick to the used 09 or maybe leftover 10

There be plenty. Like the 350z, small cargo space and 2 seater is inconvenient until after maybe a couple years of daily use. One of the larger reasons why barely 1000 was sold this month.

There are a lot more BMW 3 series sold than this sports car.

Superfriend 05-05-2011 11:01 PM

a lot of 335i are being sold (comparing to similar pricing and specs)... but the price range are for 2008 model, and the warranty will be up very soon, unless extend warranty is purchased, thus will increase the $$

i have widen my search to san antonio, tx area... since i will be down there
this weekend... who knows, might drive home with one.

... but still in the search.

2500 below invoice would be a great price especially on a 2011
