3 year/36000 mile maintenance cost?

Hi all,

my local dealership is offering me a 3 year/36000 mile maintenance "free" with the cost of the vehicle and I'm trying to figure out how much that actually costs so I can price it accordingly.

Any ideas? Thanks!

well the most you will get out of that is oil changes and possibly brakes, there isn't to much more that should fall within the first 36k on a new car..the basic warranty will cover all the major areas anyway..

Try talking them down to it.

I know for $1500 I was able to get 6 year/75,000 (I don't drive a lot) Gold Preferred Premium Maintenance program. I'm planning to move to an apartment in the future and will not be having a garage to do my maintenance.

However, when you take your car to servicing (and I had helped friends with this before) make sure you point out services done must be strict to the copy of the receipt. Tire Rotations are not covered for 370z and they may do it just to get $200 out of ya without your permission. Always bring that pamphlet with you and show what they need to do.

$595 for 3years/36000 mile maintanance and tires for life. That's a must buy right?

The tires for life definitely makes it worth it. My dealership was having a buy 3 get 1 free sale on tires and were asking $1130 for the Advan sports on the base 18" wheels :icon14:

depends on the details for tires, but that should be solid.

How you get tires for life? I don't see that on the Maintenance Plus plan.

Many places try to get out of those contracts by you going over a recommended interval for maintenance by 1 mile. They really arent worth it in my opinion

I know some dealerships offer it as a buying incentive. One local dealer in my area gives you new tires for life if you buy a new car from them, but I think you may be limited to one set per year. Not sure on that though.

Yay! just got my new black cherry touring with sport and nav for 100 under invoice.. but a 375 documentation fee.. ah well, good enough.

The only catch to the tires for life is that I have to get regular maintenance serviced at the dealership.. so they'll be making their money back one way or the other..

Tires for life eh? Must make good use of this.. ^_~

If a dealership wants you to rotate your tires on the Z, I wouldn't be doing business with them - ever.
