I put down a $1,000 deposit on one. My requistion order says "PRICE TO BE DETERMINED". The dealership had no idea about pricing or availability, even though the press releases said June release. The dealer said that the dealership usually knows only 3 weeks in advance of shipment. Well that puts us at the end of June.

buy a used FD3S RX-7 with a blown motor but straight chasis because they're cheap, then build the hell outta the 13B....or

Buy a used S2000 AP1, pull that torqueless VTEC out, then 2JZ-it. Or, rebuild the F20 motor with forged pistons, lower the compression and turbo charge it.

These are both easily faster than an all motor 370Z, plus they're both a lot lighter.

I check pricing on the one I have coming in and it states still no pricing available. My Nismo will be here on July 17th. Maybe we will have something in a week.

Which color nismo are you getting? Also do you have a certain price in mind that you will not go over?

tb_IGM 06-09-2009 03:32 PM

Yeah, the price estimated around 40G( from watching youtube and other websites) but do you think dealers will lower the price down to around 38-39G cause this time around it's hard borrow money yet at the same time-it's good to buy car cause u can negotiate with them better. So, the question is should I wait to get the Nismo or stick with the 370Z? I like the body kit of the nismo way better than the 370Z but just for some "exclusive stuffs" do you think it worth it for that price?

dartagnan 06-09-2009 04:21 PM

Silver, won't go above 40k

dartagnan 06-09-2009 04:24 PM

I test drove the 370Z Automatic, and I don't think I'm a car snob, but my Mazdaspeed 3 feels faster to 60 and feels like it corners better. I was not impressed with the automatic, but I'm told that the manual is a slicker car. Can the Nismo be tuned (because body shape is stunning - the extra panels are awesome)? Or if tuning is what I want, go with a stock 370z?

semtex 06-09-2009 04:40 PM

You mean ECU tuning?

dartagnan 06-09-2009 07:32 PM

All kinds of tuning. ECU, shocks, wheels, add-on turbo. Crazy?

You want to buy it and pay much more because of the body kit?? The other 'exclusive stuff' as you call it, or the suspension upgrades is what makes it better than the regular Z and why the price is higher. There will be plenty of body kits for the regular Z to slap on if that's your priority.
