Good info :tiphat:

Thx Freaky :p if one shows them that he/she loves the car and that he/she has to have it, then that individual will be :owned: from the start of negotiations. Walking away from the deal if it doesn't make sense is one up we have on the dealer when the price is not right. With the current incentives and market in place, new cars end up cheaper than their used counterparts :tiphat:

Yeah Freaky370Z, you landed a great deal...I think it will be pretty tough to get any lower...I'm not really ready to buy quite yet.

Just went and test drove one at another dealer, figured I would test the last day of the month out, What a sweet ride, except for the part where the car was empty on gas and ran out! lol ( I wasn't really looking at the gas level as I'm not used to the in's and outs of the cockpit like feel ) So as usual back at the dealership after explaining my offer from another dealer at $32.5 and telling me before I mentioned anything that they will give me the " best deal " basically wrote up a paper with $35k OTD and told me if thats what that dealer is offering ..march up and buy it! lol

What does everyone think? Can anyone or myself do better than $32.5 OTD for base + sport?

NCSUPACK09 03-31-2011 09:26 PM

I got my 2010 Base + Sport in February 2010 for exactly 31k OTD, but I think the base price has risen a bit and tax rates may be different. It was 29.6k before TTL.

Also, while I agree with a lot of what the OP said, I actually walked into the dealer, negotiated for 30 min, and the deal was done. Took me less than a day to get the exact car that I wanted at an unbelievable price

Nice NCSUPACK09, You got the exact same car I want lol...I'm a little jealous lol, no 10 Black available here in state, been looking at trying to find one, the 10 is a lot cheaper insurance wise compared to a 11 for me. may just have to get a used one in the coming months

NCSUPACK09 04-02-2011 07:40 PM

^ The dealer I bought mine from has a 2011 PW Base + Sport listed for 29.5k or they have a couple 2010 Black Cherry Touring + Sport listed for 33k. If you are at all interested, I can PM you the dealer name.

without people ripping me a new one, why do people always talk OTD price when comparing prices with people from different states and tax jurisdictions?? Some states like NH dont have sales tax, but each year they have personal property tax, where as NY just knocks you at the purchase.

NCSUPACK09, Thanks for the information, The 2010 model is a lot cheaper insurance wise for me, I am kind of waiting on a couple 2010 that are around here that are still new, but they are blue and red, no black, which is what I really want, but that is a pretty good price listed for a white, I have been quoted 32.5K OTD for a 11, which with my TTL, is about that same price. Still kind of keeping my eyes open here, doesn't seem like the dealers here are ready to give in on the 2010 and still playing hardball with prices near a 11...but glad you got one, black looks tough

poorazn, I list OTD, as that is what I ask dealers to give me a quote on, I dont want them to dink me around with a price without TTL and then try to add in all sorts of gimmick fees...this way it limits the dealer games and gives me the total price, I would suspect that is why some list OTD, or why I do anyway

^ Sounds good. You know what you're doing, so I'm sure you will find the right car at a great price.

Good Luck!
