Used 2009 pricing

I found a 2009 base model with auto transmission and just under 10k miles. I could probably pick it up for 24,500 plus tax, tags and title which seems like a pretty good price. I know there are a ton of these threads, but wanted to get some input from you guys.

I just bought (january '11) a New (left over) 2009 black/grey automatic TOURING (no sport or nav) with 24 miles for 26k +ttl.

You could do a little better than 24,500. personally, I wouldnt pay more than 23 for that car.

Thanks for the info Econ. Quick question: Wouldn't the invoice on that have been close to $34,000? I realize it's an older model year, but am I correct that you bought it for approximately 10,000 under invoice? Maybe I"m missing something. There are probably a dozen used 370z's in my area and I haven't seen any listed for under 28k. I thought 24,500 was a pretty good deal.

correct, they were asking $34,250 and was able to work them down to 26k.

after 2 years they just wanted to get rid of the left over 2009. they knew it wasnt going anywhere, they were willing to negotiate. I bought from Great Neck Nissan btw.

anyway, what color are you looking for?

i went to cars.com did a 500 mile radius search from 06606 and limited the price to 30k... there are a bunch of auto's with <10,000 miles in all colors.

these are just the asking prices, i almost bought the blue one in wallingford ct for 4k less than their asking price...

just tell them you're ready to buy, and when the right offer comes along your taking it. They know these cars aren't in demand, and they are loosing value everyday. Especially the '09s

Sounds like you got an awesome deal. I live in East Tennessee and frankly, there just aren't that many 370's around for sale. It's going to be my second car so I'm not in a huge hurry and I'm still considering just picking up a new one later in the year. Thanks again for the info.

Just got an 09 370Z Touring w/Sport package 7AT with 33k miles for $26,200. I'd definitely go private party unless you have the will to argue with a dealer all day. Plus, private party is cheaper most of the time but you have to find a good seller.

I'm beginning to do some searching for a used '09 base + sport + MT. From what I am finding, asking prices are way too high, IMO. I'd probably be willing to go 26k tops for base + sport on a '09. I'm not in a hurry so I'll wait till I get what I want. The buyers market for sports cars won't be ending anytime soon.

I got my car back in August of 2010 new for $26,490 and exactly what I wanted for my trade in. It’s a base 6mt. There are some deals out there if you look. It may be hard to find a "new" 09 still. Econ you got a nice deal.

I bought my 09 Touring 7AT certified used w/15k miles this past January for $26k. I think you might be able to better than that, but I think prices may have gone up due to the limited number of 2011's coming in.
