Base Model 6 speed manual
MSRP - $29,930
Invoice - $28,043

S01 - Sports package*
MSRP $3,000
Invoice $2,602

$695 Destination

Total MSRP: 33625
Total Invoice: 31340

Were there any other options, floor mats, splash guards, etc.?

MSRP is $1000 higher than mine was so there must be some extras on there. I got mine for $31080, Base w/Sport 6MT in Boston area. About $500 under invoice, and I really didn't even have to beat on them to get that price, it was all friendly negotiation. I had another dealer in MD that was willing to do the same price as well, just not as convenient.

Nope

No other options that I can remember from the orig. quote.

Seems at though I should shop around.. then.

My car actually came from RI and I bought it in NH but registered it in MA. :)

The sales tax bill will be the same either way, you pay the sales tax for the state in which the car will be registered. Which is higher in NY than MA if I recall. I think I paid a little over $1600 in registration and sales tax to get it on the road. Fortunately the sales tax and upcoming excise tax will be deductible on next year's tax return.

I somehow doubt that - there are some things almost ANY car gets ordered with. Particularly, floor mats and whatnot. The deal seems to be a VERY fair starting point, that could be improved with a little haggling. And even IF there are no options, they're only $800 above invoice or so...haggling could easily get that down to nothing if you push hard enough...or walk away :)

NY 370z sport price quote

Thanks for the post/info. Well when I setup the quote online I did not select mats..etc ..just the basic Sport model..I dont need all the Touring Gack..
The only reason why I chose the Sport model was for the Limited Slip.
I dont care too much for the rear spoiler. I prefer the smooth lines of the spoilerless rearend.

The provide LSD isn't all that, it just can't transfer enough torque. It is viscous and will overheat the oil in extended sessions such as on the track, although the overheating can be offset by a differential oil cooler. The better differential would be a torque sensing or torque biasing differential (i.e. Torsen).

The stock LSD does fine with standard spirited driving.

BurntGauge 03-28-2009 10:18 PM

Hey the Sport Pack is great for $3k. Yes perhaps the LSD is not the bestest, but wheels, bigger brakes, front and rear spoiler and LSD all for $3k. The wheels alone might be $3k. LOL

Anatoray 03-28-2009 10:20 PM

That's true, but not 3k more than the stock tires.

ChrisSlicks 03-28-2009 10:36 PM

I do like the brakes, they bite hard and don't fade. Just need to drop in some performance pads and you're good for a day at the track ... until the engine oil overheats of course :)
