*ATTENTION* Alberta Buyers

I am extremely excited to have just bought my new 2009 370Z Touring Sport with Navi :yum:. It is carbon silver/platinum graphite with the persimmon orange interior. I have seen a lot of posts about Canadian pricing and I wanted to let everyone know that Patrick O'Rourke at Sherwood Nissan is the person that you need to talk too about getting the best price possible. He is the manager of the internet division. I have been calling every Nissan dealership in Alberta and nobody but Sherwood Nissan was willing to negotiate a price below M.S.R.P. I would definitely give him a call and just let him know that Brandon sent you. You will definitely not regret it if you are in the market for a 370Z.

nogoodname 03-02-2009 09:41 PM

welcome to the forums & congrats on the new Z
nice colour BTW.........

Canadian370Z 03-02-2009 09:44 PM

I will absolutely be posting pictures. It is being factory ordered and will be here in about 8 weeks. I don't know if I can wait that long.

nogoodname 03-02-2009 09:49 PM

oooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh my bad, i thought you got it already...sorry....lol

I didnt see any pics besides from Nissan about the orange coloured leather, so i was curious to see

Canadian370Z 03-02-2009 09:55 PM

No problem.

nogoodname 03-02-2009 09:59 PM

^^^ that 8 weeks is gonna be long, i suggest coming on here once or twice a week to look for new info or parts on sale.

try to spent time on other things, like house work...lol....dont go crazy waiting for the Zed.....hahaha

but you just bought one of the best combo....... PG on Orange with NAV

Canadian370Z 03-02-2009 10:06 PM

I am so excited. I have been wanting a Z since the 350 debuted so this wait is a lot longer than just the 8 weeks for me.

nogoodname 03-02-2009 10:06 PM

5+ years and 8 weeks.........not bad

some would say very long wait.............lol

Canadian370Z 03-02-2009 10:11 PM

Ya. They where just way too much money in Canada to even consider a 350 at that point. It will be worth it.

brisk 03-02-2009 10:56 PM

Hey congrats!
Looks like I will be in the same boat as you.
Playing the wait game.

Canadian370Z 03-02-2009 11:18 PM

How long you gotta wait?

nogoodname 03-03-2009 08:32 AM

He said 8 weeks. Just have to read a bit...ok.....lol

+1 it would really be appreciated.

It would be great if you could update the Canadian Post your deal thread so we can keep these together.

Canadian370Z 03-03-2009 09:21 AM

Sorry. Never realized there was a Canadian thread already started. I was being told by everyone a price of $49,633.00 before taxes and no one was willing to budge from that price. Until I went to Sherwood Nissan.

Here is what I bought:
370Z Touring with Sport and Navi
Carbon Silver with Persimmon Orange Interior
Total purchase after taxes and Freight/PDI: $50,000

nogoodname 03-03-2009 09:42 AM

Not bad, considering urs is completely fully loaded

Is there a provincial tax in Alberta ???

Canadian370Z 03-03-2009 10:06 AM

We only pay the 5% GST in Alberta

shumby 03-03-2009 10:08 AM

ya rest of canada = suckers damn NS is like 13% ahahahahahahahaha suckers

nogoodname 03-03-2009 10:10 AM

In Quebec we pay the 5% fed tax and 7.5%(provincial) on the total amount including the fed tax
So it's kinda like tax on tax.

Canadian370Z 03-03-2009 10:18 AM

That sucks. There are some benefits from living in Alberta.

shumby 03-03-2009 10:20 AM

you going to join the edmonton Z club?

Canadian370Z 03-03-2009 10:27 AM

I will definitely have too once the car comes in. Who do you contact?

g35300mm 03-03-2009 09:22 PM

So how much would you say they discounted of the vehicle price? $2000? $3000? ... thanks.

Cant wait till i get into mine. i gotta wait another 6 months for my current G35 lease to expire.:shakes head:

Canadian370Z 03-04-2009 09:13 AM

It was pretty close to $2500 off from the total price. Let me know if you wanna know anything else.

interesting..

do you think you could have gotten more $$$$ off? That discount you got is based on that specific model. Im just looking to get into the base. so im wondering if ill be able to get that kind of discount with a less expensive model. These things have to carry at least $3000 gross (canadian). i know the US numbers from this thread but i also know its different from us to canadian.

I hate to burst your bubble but if you paid $50K total including everything, I don't think that's $2,500 off...more like $700. Although that's about $200 better than I got and I think you still did fine from what I have seen and heard so far. If I am missing something, let me know.

39,998 base MSRP
2,500 nav
4,000 sport
135 paint
1,500 freight and PDI
-------
48,133 price before misc fees and GST (per website)
150 air and tire tax (estimate but those are added in here)
------
48,283
2,414 GST @ 5%
-------
50,697

Canadian370Z 03-06-2009 10:47 AM

I took the pricing right off the website as well. I think that I forgot to mention that I ordered a 7 speed, which adds about $1500 I think. Here is the pricing I got off the website:

Base MSRP* $41,498.00
Options $6,635.00
Freight and PDE $1,500.00
Total* (Before Taxes) $49,633.00

$49,633 + 5% GST = $52114.65

Sorry about the confusion. I guess I saved $2114.65.

Canadian370Z 03-06-2009 10:49 AM

Canada is only going to be getting the Touring model so I could not even consider the cheaper base model. I don't think I could have gotten anymore off than. If you convert that into US dollars it works out to $39,197.24

AB370Z 03-06-2009 11:14 AM

^^OK, good job then...Congrats!

Canadian370Z 03-06-2009 11:45 AM

Thanks
