He has to fill out paperwork with a DL and address.

Yes, Nissan tracks ports and if a US vin pops up they will fine the dealer, because a foreign (canadian) dealer can't compete with the exchange rate

Beaverton Nissan in portland will sell to me but they seem like bullshitters + pushy when I talked to them on the phone.. first she said my warranty will be fine (in canada) even tho I researched and it will not.. + she said its $42,000 and non negotiable.
I found this tho regarding warranty "If you purchase the vehicle brand new in the US, you MUST register it in the US, before you import it to Canada. When you import it to Canada, you are restricted from selling the vehicle for 6 months. If you sell the vehicle within 6 months, the new buyer will not get the warranty." Im confused on this how do I reg in the us and still import it over to canada and insure with icbc (our insurance place) ?? or does it mean i have to reg in the us and leave it there for 6 months lol ? |
Looks like these rules (laws?) are trying to prevent a dealer from selling a new us spec car to someone bringing it directly to Canada. But not stop a individual from selling it as a used car.

Your warranty will be voided in US, not positive about canada
|
ok thanks.
I am just going to wait a bit until i find a used 2010 nismo thats been reg for 6 months this way i have warranty. |

I am going to call nissan na tomoro about this to be sure thanks tho.
btw a brand new 370z coupe (White) with the sport and navi package costs $54,724.16 after taxes lol... the 40th anniversary costs $56,068.16 after taxes.. no wonder they make it so hard to import them over. |
Hi Jit13,
How did you make out with the importing? I'm in the same boat and looking for a good deal from our southern neighbours. Best deal I've found up here is $45,3K for sport & nav. Cheech |
