How many 40ths did you get/ sell?

FuszNissan 05-19-2010 01:44 PM

I only got 2

koeppelnissan 05-19-2010 02:31 PM

That's what I got and both of mine are gone as well!

FuszNissan 05-19-2010 02:34 PM

Some of these dealers around here are sitting on them like they're gold.

Oh you didn't know?....40th anniversary 370z Commodity futures have actually outperformed gold in recent weeks!

FuszNissan 05-19-2010 02:39 PM

Damn, I should have kept them!

Jeffblue 05-19-2010 02:42 PM

I see you don't receive the live ticker from the FME (Fake Mercantile Exchange) because if you did, you'd know that the 40th Anniversary futures were doing well, and that unicorn blood futures are actually at a 52 week low.... so looks like now is the time to buy

I paid $35,746 + $55 doc fee plus Tax/License for my 40th Anniversary a few weeks ago. It included Splash Guards and Illuminated Kick Plates and had a MSRP of $40,000 exactly. This was from a large dealer in N. Calif that had 3 40ths on the lot at the time. I see others talking about lower prices but this is probably a good deal to judge price by since it was a cash deal with no trade or loan and was not done under any special VPP type discount. Good luck!

jscottd 05-20-2010 08:19 AM

I got mine yesterday. $36.5k +TTL with a sticker of about 42k. Got it at Texas Nissan in Grapevine Texas. Nice people.

What options come on a 40th Anniversary to get it to a sticker of $42K?

That's about 1700 under invoice, plus the destination fee. Great price man. I really hope you purchase it at that price.

Datsun1973 05-20-2010 01:20 PM

There are A LOT of them in the DFW area. I'm going to start looking shortly. I'm not sold on the 40th though...yet

joebravo 05-20-2010 04:40 PM

I know there are two at Bankston Nissan, and at least one at Trophy in DFW.

I'm picking one up from Bankston this evening.

Datsun1973 05-20-2010 07:07 PM

Post your price when you do!

alvinmathew88 05-20-2010 07:57 PM

I know.....I say we, 40th owners, demand proof that only 1000 in North America were made. That way we can get our production model #. ;)

And I bet they drilled a license plate frame in the front bumper to advertise their dealership too

$36k before TT&L. Sticker said 40.8k. Rolled off the lot with 9 miles on the odometer.

Datsun1973 05-21-2010 09:35 AM

Nice job!

SolarOrangeWA 05-23-2010 10:46 PM

I went looking this afternoon at a 40th. This particular dealer had every Z on the lot marked up almost $3,000. I was pissed and said so.

Isn't a Z for, you know, normal people? Middle class people? And it's not like the 370 is selling like hotcakes. Every dealer within 50 miles has one or two 40ths on the lot. This just happens to be my local dealer and I'd rather have a good relationship with them, but I hate this.

casey.strader 05-30-2010 09:48 AM

Just picked mine up Friday night. I got it right around invoice with no real hassle. I could've probably got it a little lower, but felt it was still a good deal due to low taxes here in Alabama, and I'm sure they could've sold it for more due to the market...a bunch of young officers in flight school with money to burn right down the road where the Chevy dealer can't keep enogh Z06's in stock...I guess they're not smart enough to realize the real sports cars sit on the lot at Nissan these days :)

MSRP: $40,905 (Splash Guards, Illuminated Kickplates)
Invoice: ? Somewhere around 36.5
OTD: $37,870
APR: 72 mo @ 3.49% from my credit union back home in Ohio.
No trade.

All in all, I'm happy with the deal. The guys down here at Bondy's Nissan are great guys. Very helpful and not pushy whatsoever. A VERY pleasant car shopping/buying experience! Would certainly reccomend them to anyone close enough to buy through them. Probably my best car buying experience yet. Thanks Jeremey and Greg!

davids81 05-30-2010 03:25 PM

Casey, that's an excellent rate for 72 months. I'd like to try and pull that off when it comes time for me to buy. Congrats! Now show us some pictures!

BG40thZ 05-31-2010 12:48 PM

I just payed a touch over 36k, otd. It was just under 35k without tax, tags, etc. Good deals are out there!

Supergoji 06-01-2010 02:15 AM

ya my dealer has it for 39k. it's been there for months..

I know, it was too good to pass up. I just gotsome wax on her tonight, I'll try to get pics up tomorrow. Getting a clear bra put on Friday, and I'll get some pics of the before and after on that as well. The way some of these dealers are trying to get MSRP out of these things there might still be some left when you get ready to buy...maybe you can get a dealer who sees an chance to make a little bit if money and do a dealer trade and get a deal...only time will tell. Hope it works out for ya!

PapoZalsa 06-01-2010 09:15 PM

I have a friend that got his 40th for around $35.5K OTD.

Superthug 06-13-2010 08:49 AM

I just picked mine up for $36K OTD. I think I got a pretty good deal :driving:

net2chris 06-23-2010 04:51 AM

40th best price

Price discrimination is illegal but they all get away with it however, if you got a great deal in N Cal on a 40th - what dealer was it?

I just leased a basic but the contract has terms the dealer will be unable to fulfil rendering the contract null and void. I love the car but would like to renegotiate on a 40th. Not enough bells & whistles on the basic. Would love any suggestions for dealers in NorCal

There's a sponsoring dealer here (Serramonte), and I have had a few conversations with a real nice guy in Chico. I know they have a couple right now they've been sitting on for a while. I'd give them a call. After Serramonte, of course. ;)
