essentially, nissan is trying to say that these cars are worth like 10 grand after 39 months which is ridiculous

I called prior to entering the dealer and they said it would be 30 to 40 dollars more if you want in automatic. I always wanted a white 370z with a sports package w/ an automatic because I test drove the auto once before and it was amazing. The dealership told me that my monthly payment would be $469 a month for 39 months with $3000.00 down. I gave them my down payment and they said, your monthly payment is now $515 a month after they cashed the check. Keep in mind that they ran my credit score a the beginning of the deal and told me they can do it for $469.

Do you think $515 a month for 39 months with 3,000 down is a deal on a sports package 370z automatic? I need advice because this dealership brought me in thinking 400 a month and now im at $515....

Personally I think leasing a car is a totally bad idea altogether unless you are doing it as a company or wish to change cars every 2 years. It doesn't make sense to "rent" a car and have annual mileage and wear & tear restrictions that most lease terms have...and then a huge baloon payment afterwards should you decide to keep the car. And you don't own the car outright so you can't list it as a depreciating asset when you want credit for other things down the line.

In other words you are just putting money into the dealers pockets and then they get to sell the car off after the term of the lease is up. And what do you get left with? No car, no trade in and left in a position to either buy or lease another car in order to get around.
