Hmm, im glad you told me those numbers as I have to put 1,000 down more and pay 515 to lease the vehicle? Damn

72 months for 575? Yeah thats $41,400. Leasing works out cheaper if you get it for that price lol. You should definitely haggle them down, thats ridiculous.

Ok...let's dissect what you just wrote so we can figure out exactly how little sense it makes. You found the Z you want...correct? So why don't you walk into another dealership and tell them that you've located it yourself at another dealer but you don't want to do business with them because of their dishonesty. Don't you think they'll make every effort to get that car for you from the other dealership? Salesmen want to do one thing...make sales.

And if for some strange reason they can't, then you just need to decide how big of a sucker you're willing to be.

I called up 7 dealerships 4 in florida, 3 in new york and a white 370z with a sports package and automatic transmission cannot be found. Now do you see why its such a hard thing to do? 2 dealerships in the east coast have that exact 370z.

In the end, you should grow a pair and call a dealership and find out yourself and come comfront me again. Damn, 1 post on this forum and I already found a F**King idiot.

If you have money to spend then go spend it. You should also try contacting a forum sponsor dealership like Fontana/Lou Fusz Nissan.

Yes I intend on haggling. I haven't made a counter offer. I just wanted to see where they'd start with pricing. I kno I can knock the lease down to 480 and purchase to 530. I'll let u kno how it goes.

I have already went to 3 other dealerships not far from that dealership and they said unfortunately we cannot do a trade with the dealer because they are some certified nissan dealer crap. After that statement I am asked, would you like to take the yellow, touring, sports package, convertible on our lot instead? Looks like ill have to be a sucker for the color and specs I want the car to be in.

Yes, please do...I am holding out for a bit to see if I can locate any more 370z's with that color and specs. They have a lease special going on if you google it up its $399 for 39 months with 3,000 dollars down to lease the vehicle. I say you use it as ammo just in case you decide to do a lease.

Seriously...why is that such a hard thing to do?

By the way, you do realize that another dealership can locate the car you want, even though they don't have it in their own inventory....don't you?

+1

What's wrong with you OP?

I have to agree with Carniac, you made it sound like you had no choice and you never raised any type of concerns. If I was offered $339 and they came back and said it was $469, naturally I would say "wow! thats a big change, why?" Then in the end it came out to $515 and they wanted more for a down?! You left a lot to be mentioned.

Anyway, my point is, this is a good forum, trust me, I've had a Z awhile and there are far worse Z forums out there. If you are going to post something, atleast be open to some criticism and state everything so we can best reply.

Obviously, you got a bad deal, and if they treat you that way in the beginning imagine how they would treat you after? Keep looking around I'm sure you'll find a good offer.

Good luck!

Thank you all for your insight. I have been checking around at other dealerships and they want no less than $541 a month to lease a 2010 370z. I would like to know of anyone else who has been quoted cheaper than that price with $3,000 down as I would travel to buy the vehicle cheaper somewhere else.

Dude thats an awesome spreadsheet you have there. I see that they are NOT giving you any discounts on the vehicle what so ever. It seems that were pretty much in the same price range as if I were to lease than purchase the vehicle I would be at $42,885 for a 2010, automatic, base Z, with a sports package and you would be at around $42,500.

If me and you were to either finance the vehicle, it would be about 2,000 cheaper but still affordable from the get go because we would still have to pay the interest rate which is about 6.7% here in Florida. After looking at your estimate, I am going to go to the dealership tomorrow and get the vehicle at $515 a month for 39 months with 3,000 down and just fight for the 15,000 miles as I am currently being offered 12,000 miles. Thanks for the upload.

craniac24 05-05-2010 09:42 PM

6.7%?? Wow...you really are being taken for a ride. These salesmen must know how badly you want that car.

thats the quote i got without haggling with them and thats with $2000 down. I've already been offered $490 with the same $2000 down. With $3000 you should get to $470 at most!

Demon, I would get your money back and start over. Try giving Lou in STL a call. He is doing them for a grand under invoice, which will get your cap costs down.

I just called him.

You will also need the money factor, which is your apr on the lease.

I like leasing, you get more car for the money.

If you buy the car you pay FULL sale price in taxes, which you will never see back.

If you plan on buying it, how long do you have to own it before your not upside down? 4 years or better?

And you can get in and out of cars much better. I like to have a new car every 3-4 yrs.

Right now Im looking at leasing a 2010 370z. Since they just came out, the lease will be much stronger.

Also only money you want to put down on a lease is sec. dep. first month payment.
If you put a large amount down, then total your car. Your out that money.

So I like leasing, it has to be for the right person,,, and yes I have crunched the numbers over and over.

Get you money back and start over. Call a dealer that says they will do a grand under invoice.

DRoc7822 05-19-2010 12:17 AM

Im thinking that it was 339 if you have the best credit available and they might of left out something in that price. Its a marketing ploy prolly to get you in there. And prolly only 5% of the population can get the car for 339. Now dont take this the wrong way but 469 is the price youd pay maybe cause of your credit rating. And then with tax tag and all that good stuff pushes it up to 515 a month. But I could be wrong.. as I dont know a whole lot about leasing. If the dealer isnt willing to get the car you want then go to another dealership till you find the car you want. Its really a buyers market when it comes to cars, if you dont like what 1 dealership is giving...go to another till you find one that is willing to serve you. Your making the sales guy richer...so he should treat you like royality for however long your at the dealership is my opinion on buying a car.
