Unbelievably cool car buying service

Guys -

i have seen a couple of the 370z invoice pricing threads, but haven't seen anything quite this cool yet, so i wanted to share:

American Express is partnered with the ZAG network to offer their bulk buying power discounts.

The coolest part about this though, is how easy it is to price ANY car + configuration, see the sticker, invoice, dealer cost, and true cost, then see where your price fits in. Also nice is how it compares with what other REAL PEOPLE are paying in your area, region, or country!

There's no negotiation, you just work with the preferred dealer and you just GET the price you got online.

It's so easy, and even though I have an AmEx card, nowhere in the process did i have to produce it, so maybe it will just work without one?

Just so you know it's not BS, I got my 40th anniversary Z for over $5k off the MSRP price.

AmEx Car Buying

Enjoy!

edit: this look like it might fit better in the pricing / ordering section?

I used the Amex deal to get mine back in July. I was not asked to show my Amex card, but did use it for the deposit for the cash back bonus. They would have allowed me to put up to $2000 on the Amex had I wanted to.

I believe the deal was $100 over invoice at the time. Oddly enough, the pricing on the deal went UP after a couple weeks when I was ready to pick up the car, but I had already locked in my price. I know others were getting it at invoice when I bought, but I couldn't be bothered to negotiate another $100 off, I prefer to simply set a price and be done with it. The dealer treated me well, even letting me take the car on an extended test drive while I waited to close on my house before buying the car.

FYI, I did not use one of the "preferred dealers" listed. I went to a dealer down the street and showed them the printout. At first they balked, but after talking with the Sales Manager, he simply had me pull up the website on his computer and said he'd match that price. They ordered in the car from another dealer, and that was that.

USAA - military car insurance does the same thing for anyone looking for a car! That is what i am using to get my z...just waiting for it!

Wow looks pretty cool. I might look into this when it comes time to sell my Z, and upgrade to a nice comfy DD car that has a smooth 7 speed automatic transmission. I am thinking of a 09/10 Mercedes Benz C350 red/black would be sweet.
