Dealer side of VPP?

Anyone here who can clarify the dealer side of VPP?

With the "extra" going with VPP until the end of the month, my dealer is telling me that I can get Inv - 4.3% with VPP, and is willing to do it... sort of.

The sales manager is claiming that he cannot do this Z at full VPP since he will loose money on the sale, and is trying to add in a 1500 clear bra to "make some money." Other option is to skip the bra and just add 700 to the car. Ha!

Now I don't believe for a moment that Nissan has set up a deal that would cost the dealer several hundred bucks when they sell a car, so can someone out there clarify this for me?

Thanks,

- Ryan

We get reimbursed from Nissan to sell the car below cost. The dealer you are working with is lying to you!

OP, what part of Texas are you in? That is a bunch of crap. I have used VPP several times and never had any issues.

Ya, I figured. Just needed to verify.

I suspect when I am standing there with my checkbook that his tune may change. :icon17:

Austin... seems that this happens a lot around here.

This particular car happens to be a 40th... already told me he would not pull this crap on a "normal" Z.... he would just "take the loss" since he can get more.

They are just trying to make some extra cash on you.

Have Lou ship you one  or contact Gunn Nissan here in San Antonio and ask for Frank Wallace. No gimmicks. I remeber when I purchased my Subaru back in the day I had to travel to Austin for a fair deal.
