touring or sport package?

I havent been on a test drive with either just yet to make a firm decision but wonder what you all think. I wish I could justify both but my bank account is telling me to pick one or the other.

Depends if you want luxury or sportiness. I'd go with sport over touring if I could only have one. On the flipside, if you plan to upgrade things yourself, you could go touring and then upgrade anything you like on your own. Keep in mind that SRM for the 6MT can't be added later and the sport package as a whole is a great deal.

fatcat777 12-18-2009 05:48 PM

sport

vipor 12-18-2009 05:49 PM

sport for sure. touring if you have the extra money (touring sport that is)

Sport : Brakes, VLSD, SRM (on 6MT of course), Wheels

Touring : Leather, Bose (:shakes head:)

You can get the 2010 370Z roadster as a touring version with the sport package - you can have both.

Pretty sure he knows you can get both...he's posing the question of, "If you could only choose one..."

Buy a leftover 2009 model in January with both options.

:iagree: winner winner chicken dinner!

didn't someone say they got a T/S for like 34k?

SigPapa226 12-18-2009 06:53 PM

In that case get the touring. You can add wheels, brakes, and other suspension mods later when you have the money. Most of them are bolt-ons. You can't add the touring features as easily.

MightyBobo 12-18-2009 06:57 PM

SRM is easy to add?

Zsteve 12-18-2009 07:17 PM

get both packages, the monthly price diff between the two isnt going to be very much.

PapoZalsa 12-18-2009 08:40 PM

Sport, don't care for the Bose system and the other stuff. If they would include NAV with the Touring package then that would make a difference.

I went base to build. Don't regret it at all, but there's a big $$ diff between sport package and custom. But here's my wish list: Good 4 piston brakes $4k, ssr or grams $2.5k+, tire upgrade $1k, aero a few hundred more, coilovers $1.5-2k, etc.

Audio upgrade $2k and live without leather.

Sports is better value, IMO if you're keeping stock and then upgrade front speakers and hu as you can.

$2K in audio???????

With all that money you could get the Touring with Sport Package and have some money left over. :shakes head:

Room42 12-18-2009 09:40 PM

Exactly my point, though. Aftermarket adds up fast, making the packages look really good.

Audio may be high, but a touchscreen hu and speakers can add up and I have to build in install. My dealership is showing an aftermarket upgrade for audio/nav package at $3.5k - now that's crazy...

AK370Z 12-18-2009 11:07 PM

Do you need leather? If not, then sports package. I personally don't care for leather interior but living without LSD, bigger brakes and SRM would make me sad

SRM is unnecessary. A Nice toy, but unnecessary.

I know, was merely making a point.

Mmmm, I came to work at 6AM with maybe 7 or 8 inches on the truck...childs play for me, Im from Buffalo. We'd be going to school still.

tcarretti 12-19-2009 11:00 AM

I've got the Touring 6MT without sport. I've done the test pipes and exhaust and about the only other thing that I REALLY want is a good LSD. Everything else can come way later...

we have about 18" to 20" here at the moment and its still coming down pretty hard. supposedly we could get 6-10" more tonight, Im stuck at a friends place and my car is burried in a snow drift...Im not going anywhere anytime soon

Thanks for the feed back so far on package preferences, I was unaware that the nav system didnt come with the touring edition which was the main reason I was considering it. Guess Im leaning sports now.

MightyBobo 12-19-2009 02:22 PM

My Silverado isnt exactly having any problems getting around :)
