Good Deal? I Want Your Input
2009 Nissan Z 370Z Coupe for Sale in Streamwood, IL
The car fax shows lots of owners but it has a long history of being taken care of, I'm low balling the price to see if i can get it a lil better. But are your opinion? (i know I know... it's an auto):wtf2: |
I'll be the *******, not because its an auto, but it's a first year run. Manufacture always let the first year run go and work the bugs out later. It has a lot of after market work which means that somewhere instead of having Nissan fix the bug someone did it their selves. Unless this is the only Z in your area I'd pass.

Well 09/10 price wise are my only option, i don't want the price to be over 20k. I could do it but I'm not trying to shell out every month while in college. So around 15k would be perfect. I could look for a 10 with the info u have me

If you are trying to save money, a 370Z is not a good choice. While they are pretty reliable (ESCL and CSC being two notable exceptions), if something does go wrong, it's going to be expensive to repair. Maintenance tends to be a little higher than average (two air filters, instaed of the "normal" one, &c), too.
I suggest buying an older car (lower initial cost) that has lower maintenance/repair costs while in school and maybe a few years after. Keep your credit rating up and buy a new 370Z (or whatever strikes your fancy at the time) then. YMMV |
I'm not trying to save I just don't want to be broke paying 600 a month not including insurance I'm saving for the 370z not saving for anything else

And with the price for a low mileage 350 I might as well get a 370 (even if I like the rocket bunny kit)

get a used Honda Civic till ur out of school,,spend time on studies/graduation instead of worrying about ur ride,,get a Z after graduation and hopefully making more $$

If you have to stretch that much to afford it, you can't afford it.

looks like rice

I would definitely pass. Its not worth the 16K. Maybe 14K and I would still not do it. First year production. You would be the 7 (Yes, SEVEN) owner.

colorado to illinois
ouch |
You can't afford a 370 right now. Focus on college, get a decent job, then buy what you want and can afford.

Oh for ****'s sake. You are a college student? Well college up. If you can't even figure out how to use a fuckin' period when you type on your silly little phone, and I promise you it really is just one little poke with your finger to make that magical punctuation mark appear, then you really don't need to worry about spending money you don't have on a car you want to get a custom kit designed for using money you'll never earn from a job you'll never get because you can't figure out where the fuckin' period goes!
Please review this thread at your convenience. Thanks a bunch. http://www.the370z.com/lounge-off-to...ish-class.html |

I took the bus through high school. Rode a bike in college and borrowed a Honda Accord. Worked for a year and drove a 240sx Drove a 1985 volvo station wagon in law school and my 240sx sat. Got a job after graduating law school and modded the 240. Got promoted at work and bought a house. Got my house re-appraised with a positive result, got rid of PMI, refinanced my student loans with better rate, sold the 240 THEN bought the Z, and used. |
Finance 101 = you can't afford it !
Common sense 101 = 6 other owners / says run away, run fast! Don't be discouraged, all good things come in time. $600 a month / it's not the time Tons of great advice here from people who have been around, take it! Best regards |

I once had the same desire to have a Z right now feeling, but I'm glad that I waited. You'll benefit so much if you decide to wait rather than jumping on the first "good deal" that you run across. I decided to wait until I had all my debt paid, then a descent house, made sure my family had what they needed then it was my turn. Nice feeling when the only debt I have is just a car loan (and house but that's more of an investment). If you wait here's the benefits to look for.
1. You are in college now, you don't want to stay home on weekends because you have no money to go out, hence not even able to enjoy your ride. Wait till you are out of college and once you have a descent job making more money then you'll have even more options. 2. The longer you wait the more options you'll have since price will go down in all years. You may even find a used Z only just 2 or 3 years old at a very descent price. If you land your dream job you'll even be able to show off a brand new Z. 3. You main focus should be education and knowledge. That's more valuable than any Z in this thread (no offense to anyone). Z's come and go and cars value depreciate. Do great in your education an career and things will then fall into place!!! |
