Buying a 2016 base in Canada

I just agreed to purchase a 2016 base 370z here in Canada, think its the best deal here for a new car easily.Prices here are a fair bit higher than in the US,but for 2016 Nissan dropped the base from $40k to $30 + tax. With the exchange thats $23k US for a new base model!!To me this indicates an updated Z should be on the way soon, but I wont feel too bad in the future seeing the new models knowing what I payed:tiphat:

The Canadian base dropped 10k, but isn't the same as the old "base" model, there is a lot striped from the car to get the price down.

Don't get me wrong though, still a hell of a deal for what you do get.

No offense taken, but could you provide some specifics? The only thing I know is different from the previous base model is the fact it only comes with a manual transmission, could be wrong though.

Heated Leather seats, with lumbar, homelink auto dimming rear view mirror, Sidemarker Z lights, suede door inserts, Aluminum colored trim and pedals, satilight radio, the list goes on, just do a comparison on the Nissan.ca web site. 2016 Nissan 370Z® Specs & Pricing | Nissan Canada
The touring coupe, was our base model, and is still 40k

OK....I see what you are referring to,wasn't aware the actual base model was not available in Canada in 2015 like it was in the US.Still a terrific deal for us Canadians even comparing it to the US base model, but we already agreed on that:)

Sure is, almost makes me want to get another one, as mine is about done... '09 with almost 370,000kms, With sport package.

It's just too bad you can't add just the sport package on the base. I could do with out the rest.

The only thing I would like to add to my base is the manual trans rev matching, not gonna happen.

The LSD would be nice if I could only pick one thing.

I recently purchased a 2016 370z in canada.

The biggest ones are:

No navigation
No Bose System (The audio system I have is terrible, no bass at all)

Engine-wise everything is identical!

dvboy 08-16-2015 05:21 PM

Yea..........its hard to pull the trigger on ANY options as the price goes up from 30g to 40g,nothing in between.

Also you get no rev sync thing... :(

but hey you can get a $30,000 car and basically spend 10gs overtime doing whatever u want to it :)

Like not having Bose is a bad thing?
In most books Bose = Junk.
