New guy - price Quotes

Good afternoon ladies amd Gents. Been searching for a Z and got a few quotes I wanted to run by you guys.

2016 Base MT PW- $28590 plus tax/tags- $31334 otd ( Ca ) comes with dealer 10yr/100,000 powertrain warranty upgrade.

2016 Base A7 PW- $30434 plus tags/tax. No otd response yet. Same 10/100,000 powertrain warranty upgrade.

2016 Base A7 Magma Red- $29996 plus tags/tax. Basic warranty

There is a fourth quote coming to me Monday on a local dealer A7 PW.

So far I am leaning towards the middle quote of $30434. I imagine the extra $434 is for the PW paint. Really dig the warranty but it's dealer oriented so I would have to drive an hour ten( or tow) after the 60,000 manufacturer powertrain warranty expires.

Nice. I remember getting a quote in Riverside for a 2016 Auto a couple of months ago for 29000 when they first came out with the 2016's but that was without the 10 year warranty.

I really liked the extended warranty. That dealer is located about an hour twenty from me. So after the 60k I would be huffing it a ways for service.

$29k sounds like a real good deal. Guess there's room still to negotiate. I just wanted to get some insight from inside Ca. Forgot to mention that. Our prices are in a world of themselves. Thanks

There s one more that really gives you an insider look and thats carbuyingstrategies.com

Tells you how to calculate their cost minus holdback. I like truecar in general over the others.

Save up a little more and make sure you get the sport package. It's worth the upcharge.

I agree with this, get a sport package and negotiate with them, you'll get close to that

Sport package for the brakes? I don't plan on tracking the car at all. Read a few threads about the crappy csc. Not sure if that's still prevalent in the 16s.

For the brakes, bigger wheels/tires, SRM, and a limited slip diff. CSC is a problem on all 6mt Zs, not just the sport.

Hoping they fixed that with the 16s but then that would acknowledge a problem and cost millions in recall notices.

Another problem with the Sport package is that front lip which seems to scrape on anything taller than a penny*.

*okay, slight exaggeration

If that's your worry, just take it off as it's not difficult. But I agree with the others who said get the sport package. Yes, it's a little more but well worth it IMHO.

It's not really a front lip like the Nismo or other aftermarket lips. It's just a front diffuser to help with aero. I actually like it being there because I hit it before the bumper. I'd rather scrape that piece of plastic than my painted bumper or a painted lip. I shave it down with a razor blade every so often to keep it looking clean.

Sport package FTW :driving:
