This was my 2011. I now have a 2014 in Pearl White (anticipating less maintenance). Loved the Black Cherry when it was clean and waxed, but in order to get that deep, rich, dark cherry color, you needed some good depth, which meant well-polished paint and a good coat of a good quality carnauba. If there's too much paint swirling or micr-marring, or if the wax was getting thin then the color would tend more toward the red or purple.

Wow, it almost looks like you wrapped it in a chrome tint.

Beauty is always in the eye of the beholder. That said, the curves and lines of these cars are off the hook. I think you could paint one pink and it would still look menancing.

I dig the Chameleon paints. The appearance of the car changes depending upon what light it's in and how the light hits it. There are times during the day that my Black Cherry Z has a deep brown appearance with a golden tint. But I do agree, Black Cherry is a high maintenance color.

Pearl White is another color with it's own personality and does the Z justice.

Exactly.

One question...Do any of your cars scratch easily?

My god yes. It's horrible. Washing my car scratches it. Waxing my car with brand new clean microfibre/cheesecloth scratches it. My high end detailer said everything he had tried to scratch it.

This color looks amazing but is way difficult to keep up

Absolutely love the way it looks when it is clean and immaculate, the problem is that keeping it that way is insanely hard with this color. Every little swirl shows up if you don't use the right stuff to clean it and it looks pretty bad when its filthy (like after raining dirty).

When its clean I love it dearly, when it isn't I wish I would've waited a few months until the dark blue ones came out. Lately I've been contemplating a wrap..
