The coolest color for the 370z *

370zGatorman 11-05-2012 06:42 PM

Been busy with my newly purchased Z :) I installed the HomeLink mirror, the JDM fog light and also got chrome Z emblems, JDM tails and dynamatted the trunk. I'm getting there slowly but surely :) I'm debating pulling off the 3-7-0-z letters on the rear now since I installed the round Z emblem.

I need to black out the rear valance and fangs next (or get a rear diffuser) and also get rid of the dumbo ear mirrors. I'll probably get the Evo-R mirrors.

I can post some pics of the custom sound system if you wanna see them. Here's one shot of the custom A-Pillars with Hertz MLK2 tweets :)

Wow first time I've seen JDM tail lights look good on a Z lol. Silver is definitely one of the better colors for those tails

370zGatorman 11-05-2012 10:01 PM

Yeah, they really seem to blend in well with the Brilliant Silver and White Z's. I like them alot better than the red stock ones :)

I like your silver Z! I scraped the bottom of the front bumper. Does the Stillen lip cover the bottom of the bumber or does it stop at the edge

edub370 11-07-2012 04:54 PM

covers part of the bottom because thats where it screws it. are you sure you arent scraping the factory chin spoiler that sticks down from there? thats what i always seem to scrape

NickTurnon 11-07-2012 09:43 PM

Yeah I am sure..
Got hit by a biker, his pedal scraped the front. But i have also scraped it on a low curb before. The silver part is scratched.

Looking for potential front bumper replacements or even thinking about getting a body kit.

With the minor scrapes that I have accumulated over the past year, the quote from an auto body shop was $1200. I might as well get a kit! Haha

Can someone post pics of Brilliant Silver & Black Vinyl Roof with Black Wheels.

I am about to vinyl the roof and want to see what it looks like on the black everything and then black roof!

Tward 12-20-2012 10:26 AM

I have a black vinyl roof but not black wheels, sorry man. In for the picture, i have thought about going the same route.

NickTurnon 12-20-2012 10:29 AM

I will be doing this today after work. So wish me luck. Ill take really good pictures if all goes well. Maybe even a video :D

Drove/rode alongside a brilliant silver sport-pack. coupe today. It looked so awesome. This color definitely brings out the machine-like muscle underneath the sheet metal

HotRodz - Dip your headlights like I did!

It looks really good on a white nismo. That's what gave me in the inspiration. However theirs was vinyl'd...

Yup, that will be next. I'm thinking of getting the Carbon Signal front lip and maybe getting the hood and wing done in black at so point!

hey thanks edub.

for me, no lowering on my Z. :D i bought this car to motor on the streets spiritedly. i want full suspension stroke as some parts of my area is pretty uneven. i dont think the car needs any lowering as she sits pretty low already, and the offsets i use on the wheels are appropriate for my application. some of you like your cars looking squashed, some of us dont.

i have a lowered G35C and my '12 honda Fit sport (dd) is lowered on swifts which i enjoy half dress up and half motoring. :)

C4Calvin 07-29-2013 04:55 PM

While I like the lowered look, my roads here in Chicago are terrible. Driving downtown I thought my car was going to split into 2 pieces. :ugh: Plus the garages I need to park at times have inclides that are just too steep.

I actually had the Swifts and spacers and I took them off. Stock is good.

kenchan 07-29-2013 07:14 PM

Once you've owned over 20 cars, you definitely get to know wat to do and wat not to do for your application. Lowering just for looks is for the novice. :icon17:

critical 07-29-2013 07:53 PM

Swifts are way more comfortable than stock springs too. Jus sayin :)

kenchan 07-29-2013 07:57 PM

I know my other car runs them and they are good (best) lowering springs.

But as stated, I want full stroke. My other cars full bump on certain areas at speed. 370Z does not, and handles like a champ. :D basically no slowing down accepted.

Stino 07-29-2013 09:21 PM

just realized that the upper mustash on the s-tune kit would cover up those dealer-installed-front plate-oops-through-holes if you have them. :icon17:
