The shop that did my headlights (180º Custom) is based in Brooklyn, yes. But I live in Harlem, although I'm at my parent's house in Brooklyn right now to visit (read: Free food and laundry) during spring break this week. Shoot me a pm if you want to check out the headlights this week.

I got one of those too! I like this thread, it a great color.

I love the black myself and am planning to get one. But I saw a 40th edition in the showroom yesterday and that color + wheel combo looks sick.

I just wish they would have a darker blue... then I may have to stray from my black norm. But as for now, its all black. :tup:

Yup. Masked both the lower strip + arrow and the reverse/turn signal area, and then after two coats of tint on the main red area, removed the mask on the reverse/turn signal and did a coat plus a little more to 'blend' it into the general tint. Then three coats of clear coat, but I haven't polished yet =/
But yeah, so even though the tint looks evenly distributed, the reverse light is still quite bright and the red is hardly noticeable. :tup:

I am so happy that someone beat me to the g37 I was looking at, leaving me with no other option than to go for a 2010 magnetic black 370z. Gonna wax for first time tmw and hopefully get some pics posted.

ok... so this is my first post. i guess i should go over to member intros... but found my way home to the black thread.. and wanted to share this. took it 2 days ago when i brought the car home for the first time.

its HDR.. for those of you who dont know what that is.. its worthy of being its own thread so i wont get into it.. either way.. i love the over processed animated effect it produces.

With your handles, did you get them done, or do them yourself?

I had my body shop do them. I cant use a spray can let alone a spray gun haha

All comedy aside, I understand. How much did that set you back? How long was the car out of pocket?

The handles cost me $75 and they had my car overnight...seeings how he touched up all the scratches on the entire exterior plus the wax job.

Sweet, I'm going by Vivid Racing Friday for oil change/dyno's... their paint guy's gonna have a look see at mine. I love the way yours looks!

Thanks...since I'm murdering my car out..the silver handles had to go. It looks so much better and not so standout-ish. Well it's been about 2 weeks..did you get your handles done yet?

No, I talked to them about it, and all they would do is spray it, not disassemble and paint it. Meaning that when you look at it, it would be black. But underneath the handle and all non visible surfaces would still be silver. And that doesn't work for me, I want it all black. But they don't feel comfortable taking the handle apart and risking damaging it. So I'm still in the search... :ugh2:
