It's a love/hate relationship with black. Right now I love it, but it's just so much work.

I'm loving my Z in MB - but this is my 4th (well 5th if you count my current FX) Nissan/Infiniti in black in the last 2 years. Will be my last black car, too. But...
Solution coming Friday - OptiCoat. |
I love black and love the work that goes into it. Forces you to keep the entire car showroom condition. But love the looks when you drive it anywhere.
Just picked mine up, previous owner had good intentions but didn't really know how to maintain the paint properly. So I had to spend an entire day correcting it, still not perfect but I'm getting there. Is it me or the 370 MB I find is not as deep as the previous 350 MB. Is it the sparkles they put in it? For me the black doesn't seem as endless and deep. http://i1285.photobucket.com/albums/...pse8462b3b.jpg |

Yeah I think the 350z black didn't have any metallic flakes. I personally like it with the flakes. Even though I own one, I'm not a huge fan of black cars. They're great when they're clean, but I'm super OCD about having a clean car and dark colors just get the best of me sometimes. If my Z was a daily, I would've gotten a lighter color. |

Z looks great and love the hood! :tiphat: |
Freshly washed and lookin' fine. Next step is going to be removing the PlastiDip and actually paint everything instead lol

Idk which page to look at sometimes lol. The Magma Red Z's are killing me! Wife says to get a base Magma Z as a daily. Hopefully I can post some pics up soon of mine.
Have an EVO-R lip & CS V2 fenders to put on, and trying to gather up more funds for a FRP Mines Repica spoiler add on. Not interested in doing the CF on black look. |

Couple pics from my first road trip with the Z to door County WI
At the B&B. Great little place. The breakfast was awesome http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n...pse154e038.jpg We took a car ferry to Washington Island. I thought about bringing the Z across the lake but the ramp onto the boat was pretty steep so I didn't want to risk any damage. Thus I had to park her "off road" :D http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n...ps30548779.jpg And of course, back at home, safe and sound (but dirty :( ). http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n...psd31c8060.jpg |
