I was browsing around and saw this at a Danish auto magazine website. I used Google translator and here it is

Quote:

AUTO ZEITUNG went exclusively with the Nissan 370Z on the Nürburgring-Nordschleife

Even before the presentation of the European version of the new Nissan 370Z sports car, we were able to race around the Nürburgring Nordschleife. The conditions: North loop typical, humid, slowly wiping punctuated by light drizzle, temperature four degrees. The finger should therefore not even come close to the ESP switch. In fact, the equipped with 19-inch tires on any production car responds sarcastically Gasbefehl. Again and again wants to break the rear end. Of the 331-hp V6 with 3.7 liters of displacement and variable valve timing for intake and exhaust valves (VVEL) perform significantly faster in gas than its predecessor in Nissan 350Z. Especially in the lower speed range, this is noticeable, even more so on the extremely dirty asphalt of the Nordschleife.

In Anbremsbereich the ABS provides sensitive, when downshifting prevents down shift rev-matching (DRM) system reliability a blocking rear. Deactivation system adjusts in a split second, the engine speed before the clutch is engaged, so there automatically blipping. The manual transmission is unusual and unprecedented. Also during upshifting, the system supports the driver who is prevented by the 350Z famous jerk in the driveline sustainable. The effect is similar to the use of a nearly double-clutch transmission and is under wet conditions is a clear security benefit.

The new coupe with its flared hips, shorter wheelbase, wider track and less weight is a real step forward. The always hard-sounding V6 to its predecessor, is quickly forgotten. The new deep growls, and is also closer to the speed limit of 7500 / min is not tired. The chassis of the 370Z is more tightly designed a track, the steering demands, with the 19-inch tires more combined effort. The ride is basically neutral, then under load much oversteer. The ELP, however, allows lower lunges than the 350Z.

The video shows a rather subdued lap in one of the few Vorserienautos. The changing track conditions did not allow a quicker ride without an extraordinary threat to the only 500 km of "old" not coupes. Too bad!

Just an approximate, but I def see the oil temp gauge straight vertical prob around 240 or so... it was pretty much pegged around there for the latter half of the track. No limp mode.

That is a long track with very lil engine braking. On shorter tighter tracks like here in the US engine braking and slower speeds will cause you to go into limp mode... I know it happened to me at lil tally but I was smart slowed down my lap time for 1-2 laps and then jumped back into it. My avg. temp was in the 250's - 260's and on my harder laps was bouncing off the 280's. Take into account I was in similar conditions as the video except temps were around 57 degree F. If you know about lil talladega you know that most people avg a mid 1:1_ or a 1:2_ around the track. My first couple laps on cold tires started @ 1:12 and progressively got down to 1:08 in the wet! we timed it compared to the other cars on the track such as modded 135's and s2k's, modded C6 Z06's. A pretty diverse group and the Z was one of the fastest rides in the wet. The Z is truly a remarkable car with great potential!
