It looks great Dan!

From the pictures it looks almost dark grey. How many gallons did you use?

Also, did you take photos of the process?

P.S I am sure someone already mentioned it to you, but why not just use a clear matte gallon since you already had the black as your base coat/starting color of the car? Could've saved you a gallon(s)?

Thanks Nick,

The color does look more grey in the pics, but in person it's darker. I actually didn't do it myself, I had it done at a shop. Not sure about how many gallons, and I'm waiting on him to send me pics of the process.

I'm super happy with it.

Waiz 11-07-2013 01:26 PM

I actully like it because it looks like they took their time and did a good job with the process

Worst case scenario you can always remove it later and in the meantime it's just protecting your paint!

Meulen 11-07-2013 01:35 PM

that's cool man! I ordered some stuff from there website yesterday to do my diffuser and fangs after my bumper and new lip is painted. I got their spray nozzle, which looks like should help to lay the paint out nice and even. I decided to try there tail light tint too. I was going to do it anyway, but the smoke product seems to have a look that I like better and I won't have to remove the lights to do it! Not to mention it was only $8 to try! I got the Charcoal color. I'm going for a dark flat grey look to compliment my 40th's color.

Looks great buddy...first time I've seen the rear fogs and exhaust dipped.

Captn Worley 11-07-2013 02:20 PM

looks exactly like my wrap.

zeeder 11-07-2013 02:33 PM

Looks good. It'd be interesting to see one done in the new Anthracite metallic that they have.

I wasn't sure about getting the pipes done, but the guy doing it said I would love it. And I do !

He really did take he's time. He had the car for 3 days, and kept posting "teaser" pics online while he was doing it lol

Wicked deal!! I wrapped my GTI for $2000. Looks like i over paid

TheGreatOne 11-07-2013 06:24 PM

Ya, looks aggressive, very nice!

It all comes down to the shop, I've seen some very good jobs, and some cool colour mixes, like an M3 Blue

I probably wouldn't do my Z since its the 40th colour but my Subaru is getting it done right now for around $600 also...figured why not :)

Yup, he said if it's small then no charge. If it required something larger like stripping the hood, it would be $50.

No, $2000 sounds about right for wrap. Waaaaay more labor and the wrap material itself is pretty pricey.
