Little video shoot after carwash

Me and my buddy did a little video shoot of his car after a car wash.

Didn't really plan on doing a whole lot, so all was made at the scene and around the block.

As this was my first attempt to do a video shoot, any critics are welcome :driving:

Cool vid, BUT that wing

.c2 06-23-2013 05:44 AM

What's wrong with the wing? I think it matches the rest of the car very well

Wonka2581 06-23-2013 05:50 AM

Just my 2 cents but, it's way to big, looks like it belongs on a NHRA drag car.

Could be the angle from the bottom up with a wide angle lens that I used for some of the shots. It looks a tad bit smaller than APR wings in person

To each of their own right?

Wonka2581 06-23-2013 06:53 AM

That might be it as well, and yes each to their own. But I will say it's a very nice video and Z!

Great First Video!!! I also think the High wing looks good with your setup!!!

w0rM 06-23-2013 09:36 AM

Really nice job on the video! What did you shoot it with?

5D Mark 2 with 16-35mm, 24-70mm, and 70-200mm.

Didn't have a proper panning tool, so a golf cart was used :bowrofl:

Not bad for your first try. I also think the wing looks good as well.

No offense but everything looks tight except that wing that screams out rice rice baby (especially if its a daily driver), it looks old style, childish, and hideous. Again I apologize no offense.

FairladyZ10PG 06-25-2013 12:20 AM

^I think it's a love it or hate it thing. I on the other hand love the Ings+1 spoiler. Not rice at all imo.

Awesome looking car, and great video too! I think the wing fits the car, but hey, I'm coming from Viperland.....:icon17:

Thanks for the compliments!!

Excellent job! And a great looking car.

Only two things I would change is using a SteadyCam (or other form of stabilization) on the "dolly" shots (eg, along the side of the car) and cut back on use of the solarization/overexposure fade effect. Both are pretty minor, especially on a first try, and I'm sure others love the fade. :)

Awesome vid awesome car. Wing matches the look.

A great start. At many points in the vid it "felt" like a promo I might find on Nissan's site, ie, very professional.

Looking forward to seeing your next effort. :driving:

Me too.

NS370Z 06-26-2013 04:21 PM

Awesome video.:tiphat: Nice looking car indeed. Very clean looking. Not a fan of the large wing as some others have said but I understand different tastes. Congrats, that's a sweet ride.

hyunsoo1803 07-04-2013 02:16 PM

Little update for people who "mayyyyy be" waiting for the next video.

Me and my friends have a scheduled shoot with possibly a local model.

We will see how it goes with new gears that I just got :)

Stay tuned !

Nice video, cool background music and love love love the gauges. The wing, meh I could take it or leave it. But it does fit the flow of the car. Great job!
