Here's pics to show what I'm talking about. The sun has to hit it just right though, it basically has to be rising or setting and coming from a side angle. 95% of the time they look gunmetal grey.

Haha thanks man! Yeah I have a major hard-on for white/black contrast, I love the stormtrooper look. I'm even planning on doing the interior in carbon fiber with white carbon fiber accents. I'm learning how to lay it right now.
