So far I'm enjoying it for trips, a million times more comfortable, and I don't feel beatup after long drives, and if you think this car is loud, try having a wrx with even a simple Cobb exhaust for six years....:

( Click to show/hide )

I'm thinking of going with a KW coilover kit for it, I'm afraid though of losing compliance and at the limits handling as I'm more of a set it/forget it type of person. Any feedback on this would be appreciated. I'm not going to deal with megans/bc racing/cheapo coilovers ever again!! The traction control is a little annoying at times, although I'm not ready to shut if off completely yet! Also considering doing the sound deadening + real stereo, but, again, this car is lightyears ahead of my wrx in terms of daily driving/livability, and it's nice to not have every single moron trying to race me constantly!!

Mods done so far: clear bra on the entire hood! and front bumper + tinted windows, so I'll be updating pics when I can get photos of the car @ sunset, much better lighting...

Mine is very similar, just one year later.

Hey all, I'm sort of a lurker here, but I just picked up a set of 2012 Sport wheels for autocross and track use, so I thought I'd post up a couple comparison photo's. I <3 this color!!

I definitely enjoy the 2014's more because of the gunmetal and shape of the spokes, but the silver of the 2012's compliments all the silver accents on the car.

Despoil0405 07-07-2014 06:09 AM

I'm definitely a fan of this color and considering purchasing a 2013 Z. How is the upkeep on this color compared to say, Black? My first Z was Black and it was an absolute nightmare to keep looking clean.

NoGrip61 07-07-2014 08:06 AM

It's still a dark color, so pollen and dirt show up fairly easily. But having also owned a black car in the past, car washes last longer than a couple days (maybe a week) with this navy color

Maybe. :icon17:

Out here in AZ it's still only a couple of days on average. If I can get a week out of it I'm impressed.

It's sad. :(

But, it's also a daily driven car, so that has a lot to do with it not lasting.

Haboob 07-07-2014 08:54 AM

...and, it doesn't look too bad on the '12 sport Rays. I've been curious to what it may look like.

jpkirk 07-07-2014 09:33 AM

Mine will hold across two weekends typically. Depends on the pollen count as noted before. Mine is not a dd and is garaged, which also helps.

davwak 07-07-2014 10:47 AM

I've only had mine for a week. I've washed it three times but we had a lot of rain which made me wash it twice, and then I went on a short road trip this weekend so there were bugs to get off. :)

I'm similar to jpkirk, though. This is not a DD and it is garaged, so I expect to be washing it less than I have been on average.

I love my MB Z but the blue is amazing. If I could I would have a blue one!

Man, that color is breath taking. Almost wish I would have pulled the trigger on the 2014 in midnight blue.

Enjoyed a nice night drive up to Sunrise on Mt. Rainier:

That's ISO 3200 / F4 / 30 Seconds / Canon 5dmkiii / 16-35 F4L IS (hence the wide angle distortion)...

And, I had the opportunity to park next to a Deep Blue Pearl GTR this week. I think the DBP is a little brighter in comparison to Midnight Blue. As a GT-R enthusiast though, I hate to say this, but I like the Midnight blue better! :ugh2:
