Dude the 370z is slow

:gtfo2::ban:

Those were some pretty stout cars it was against...
|
Go buy yourself a brand new Lotus Exige Sport Cup 260 then OP ;) should be very affordable wouldn't you say?
|
$38,000-WRX sti spec c
$69,900-Cayman S PDK $55,400-BMW M-DCT $75,000-Lotus exige cup 260 $43,000-370z Nismo The subi is ridiculous. Really the Nismo should be priced even lower since its a looks package that barely affects performance. Other than that though it makes sense. |
Nice summary of prices.

We all can blame on the factory nav on the nismo adds the tremendous weights on the car thus it was slower.:icon17:

It was just a surprise. I would have though with the huge tires, decent suspension, brakes, chassis and ok power it would have held its own. I bought mine to drift, i don't really car that it doesn't do great times at the track, bit if I did I'd be a little disappointed :( Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Tapatalk 2 |

http://www.the370z.com/nismo-370z/29...ase-sport.html Track Tested: 2009 Nissan Nismo 370Z vs. 2009 Nissan 370Z Touring EDIT: There was another... Gotta find it Around Tsukuba race circuit, the Nismo is faster by 3/100ths of a second (IIRC) EDIT2: Car and Driver's review: http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/...ond-short-take I still could've sworn there was another |
Just to offer some objective opinion here...based on specs, the only anomaly here is the performance by the STI
Tsukuba is an advantageous track for awd car with all these low gear low speed corner exits. Plus, jdm turbo cars they acquire for testing sometimes get tempered from factory without being disclosed to Best Motoring...(one time, a "stock" R33 GTR with altered alignment setting, another time was a huge "stock" Evo vs "stock" STI battle in which both cars did extremely low 11 quarter mile, with the STI posting a 11 flat, then a "stock" r34 GTR hunting down a 996 turbo in the big track Suzuki) I've been a BM subscriber for a period of over 10 yrs, started in 1995. Nismo 370z had gotten embarrassed a few times on BM, and sti would win on this track regardless, but I just want to say, one has to be careful when watching BM videos. Try to locate the time attack lap time (they usually post before or after the race instead, difference maybe a little closer) |

Not one mention of tires here.
The Subi and Lotus should not have been in this compareson. Then on top of it all the Lotus practically comes with an R compund tire from factory. The last three cars on the other hand was a good compareson. Then again the Porsche and BMW get better factory tires. I would say that alone makes for a second or two at the track. These videos are a waist of your time if you dont know what your looking at. Put all the same tires on these cars so we dont get the "Dude the ____ is slow" comments or educate yourself. |
ur slow
|
Idk how you can think the 370z is slow! it does 0-60 in 4.7 seconds and quarter mile in 13.2 seconds. It is faster than 90% of sports cars that are below 60k
|
This Thread..... Just....
|
I could care less how "slow" the Z is....I didn't buy it to impress some random d that comes onto the forum to bash the same car he owns... IF it's so f*cking slow, sell it and troll on...
|
Ermehgerd! Teh Youtubers will think i has teh slowzz!

I simply found that vid and was blown away by the fact that the Z got stopped on so hard. I didn't buy the Z to drag or track race, just to drift, so I couldn't care less, I was just making conversation. Post like the fact that we should take into account the tires, and comparison of other videos is why I posted this. If you have no value added, the you should troll on. |
