The HDR makes them look like the 40th Anniv wheels

sinceday1 04-18-2010 10:44 AM

I can't seem to get proper white out of HDR.. comes out like yours. Does anyone know a solution?

6spd 04-18-2010 06:21 PM

gotta be real subtle with HDR. most of the work is done in photoshop, not photomatix.

Lol, couldn't resist ;)http://i727.photobucket.com/albums/w...4/a7dc8c1a.jpg The day after the rear JDM Fog light was installed.

6spd 04-25-2010 12:42 PM

you should do the led license plate swap, looks much better. also the led dome light swap too, matches the headlights so much better, more uniformity.

NewYorkJon34 04-25-2010 12:51 PM

I prob will, just has not been on the top of my mod list. KW V3's go on tomorrow, but your def right, the stock dome lights are pretty dull.

markymark 04-25-2010 09:00 PM

great shot 6spd

newyorkjon if u can do a review of the kw's once u get them that'd be great- i'm still trying to decide whether to do that or exhaust first.

6spd 04-25-2010 09:24 PM

thank you!

NewYorkJon34 04-25-2010 09:27 PM

Ya no problem, I'm def going to make a new thread tomorrow which includes a review of the KW V3's with pics. I went with the 18" CF Fast Intentions exhaust first, but it all depends on how much you wanna spend. It's about $1600 for the exhaust & over $2000 for the suspension(install+allignment).

zero 04-25-2010 10:37 PM

I took more photos :pics: today. I am still waiting for the TE37 :excited:.

Anyone have a PIC of a PW non-NISMO Z, but with a NISMO spoiler on it? I'm thinking about puttin one on, but wonder if it only looks right on the NISMO. The white NISMO at my dealer has me sold on white

your car looks great!

WB might be a little off on the first set, but it still looks good. Spacers and drop is perfect IMO

god damn mismatched bumpers... now that i see it, i notice it on every car, and i mean almost every car has it. if you dont know its there, you wont see it, but when you do, you really do... shame shame. technology improves so rapidly but paint matching processes still suck.

k20z3 06-13-2010 05:21 PM

The thing you guys have TO REMEMBER about HDR (High Dynamic Range) is doing what your camera can not do, for example, capturing detail when inside a room and looking outside on a bright sunny day that'd be an HDR shot.

So what you have to remember is DO NOT go over the top, you'll get haloing etc.

So Photomatix can be done correctly to pull detail from the tires and darkest parts of the car to regain detail.

However this can be done in photoshop with what I like to call "Selective HDR"

You want to add a "Exposure" adjustments layer, and then mask off properly, so bring the exposure up properly... but be cautious, cause if you don't get a good enough exposure in the first place or placing your Zone 6 or 7 -- then IMMENSE noise can come out of the Zone's 3, 2, 1, and 0's.

Hmm this is like scientific talk ha oops!

6spd 06-13-2010 07:31 PM

^^right on. I get better results that rival HDR just from using photoshop and using things like selective color and using A LOT of different layers and masks.

KaienZ34 06-13-2010 07:33 PM

ok thanks for the info, but my pics. were just taking with my phone and put on here no photoshop-HDR-etc...

k20z3 06-13-2010 08:54 PM

You can HDR any image with 1 single exposure.

KaienZ34 06-13-2010 09:15 PM

Cool, i have sony vegas pro and i've played with it some but it makes the pics. very small after. I don't know why really, but thanks for the info.
