It just seems the overwhelming majority of pearl white owners go with dark wheels, black or otherwise. Gld on white can be extremely classy if done properly. I had planned on doing bronze spokes with white barrels on my Z and bronze out all the chrome/silver trim. I have a photochop I threw together around here somewhere I'll post up for shiggles and gets.

Gold rims on a white Z would look nice. Like a white STi.

No one is saying you can't do it. Gold on white is classic, but i'm not doing it. My Works should be in the US may 4th, they have matte gun metal face with bronze lip. :excited:

Because blacked out stuff and dark wheels is still the current trend.
But I say do what you want. When shiny wheels come back (which I think will be soon), you'll be ahead of the game.

One_Quick_Z 04-27-2012 05:50 PM

I think bronze wheels would look sweet with the PW and the metal flake it has in the paint.

Blacked out stuff will die off soon its just a trend, just like the black wheels with polished lips where all the rage a while back.

What's next then? Green rims.

The neon colours have been going on for a little while, too. They're something that has come, gone, and come back. I had neon green rims on my autocross car back in 1989

One_Quick_Z 04-27-2012 07:29 PM

I think it will be the bright colors coming back in style, But I still wont follow the trend dont really like black wheels and not a fan of the bright colors.

^^nice but don't like the lip on wheels. It should've been all one color, then it's perfect.

I think some aftermarket gold wheels would look even better

terbo 04-27-2012 11:09 PM

I mocked up solid bronze, looked too dark for my tastes but it wasn't bad. I think the two tone would look killer in person.

I think bronze with a lip would look good on something with, well... an actual lip!

MJB like the picture but your post processing w/ HDR is to much...IMHO I would have like to see that photo with less.

Just my 2 cents

Yeah, I know a lot of people aren't fans when it comes to HDR, understandable. I just bought PhotoMatix a few weeks ago so I've just been practicing with it.
