Are those the HKS hi powers?

Also any more vids of just you revving or drive by? The dyno shot was harder to hear the pure hks's... what gains did you see?

22whp was the gains with the HKS Hi-Power TI and Berk Test Pipes with Drop in K&N filters. I am trying to find another cleaner video for you :)

I will also post pics/videos after I get the next set of parts installed, Stance USA GR+ Coilovers/ SPC Front and Rear Camber Arms/ GTM 25 Row Oil Cooler/ Fast Intentions Long Tube Headers/ UpRev Tune. This all should be on by next month :)

Updated pics, Invidia CBE installed... freshly detailed with Dodo Juice Supernatural as the topper. Went for a drive this afternoon, and since it's Easter today, downtown businesses were closed :) No editing on the pics... someday, I'll shoot in RAW mode and edit... Comments welcome.

I can't believe I forgot to post these pictures here.

I was frustrated that hotwheels only makes yellow and blue 370s, so I bought two, a can of paint stripper, a can of spray white primer, clear spray gloss, and some red and silver model paints and used all of that to make this:

Definitely one of the cleanest colors ever! I love this thread!

I've gone through the full display inventory of a Kroger and 3 walmarts and only found 2 370zs. Let me know if you can find some and we'll work something out.

Very nice work.... The reason why you can't find anymore is because I bought them all.... LOL. My local walmart and target stores had them, also Toys R Us... I bought 10 total I think. Plus 1 for display, and 1 for my kid to play with, so I guess 12 total... duh... I figured it would be a collectible someday. 12 bucks investment. LOL.

So yes, I was planning to paint it white too. But, how did you strip the original blue paint on the car?!?!? What brand of stripper did you use and process of application?

So you used white primer??!?!?! they have those? I figured I had to use gray primer then white paint then gloss afterwards. Did you just mask the windshield, windows, and rear glass?

I disassembled the car first by drilling out the rivets carefully (I cracked the bottom plastic plate of my first one because I didn't go slow enough)

Then, I submerged it in paint stripper (not sure of the brand, I just got it from wal mart) for about 20 minutes

After that, I held the body in a pot of warm water with pliers and scrubbed the remaining paint off with a toothbrush.

I toweled it off and then suspended it in a cardboard box with some coat hangers glued to the bottom of the box

Then, I sprayed a light coat of white spray primer (also from wal mart) and let it dry, then flipped the car over on the coat hanger and sprayed another coat
I let that dry again, then painted on the tail lights with some "red metal flake" paint I got from Michael's and the headlights, handles, Z symbols, and Nissan symbols with another model paint called "Silver Argate" and a REALLY small paintbrush.

After I let all of that dry overnight, I put it back in my cardboard box rig and sprayed two more light coats of "triple thick" clear gloss (also from wal mart)

After I let that dry for several hours, I put the car back together and put two small dots of hot glue where the rivet heads used to be (i'll probably use epoxy next time)

holy crap dude. That's a LOT of work. I was just hoping to sand down the car good enough with some sandpaper, then mask out the clear plastic and underbody, then spray paint primer, then white, then paint tails...

I tried sanding on one of them first, it didn't work very well at all. I think it would be incredibly hard to tape it up enough for painting. You should ship me your cars, I'll paint half of them for you and ship em back :icon17:

Edit: also, that model paint on top of glossy white looks like ****, that's what I tried first. Disassembly, two coats gloss white, paint on the lights, then reassembly. It looked awful.

Hi Kaien... yeah, it's worth investing in a nice SLR camera. Much worth it. I've had mine for over 2 years... love it. Makes a WORLD of difference compared to the pos point and shoots out there. WORLD of difference. Makes amateurs like us look like pros.
