Is there a way to tell if it's authentic such as a stamp? Brand? Or fit? Materials used on different brands? Wat Are the positives and negatives? For people who got authentic. Did the kist fit perfectly or did the body shops have same problems with figment like any other kit.

In conversation. Just want to know your guys 2 cents. Besides price. Tell me more about them. Thanks y'all and waiting to hear about everything on Amuse kits. :stirthepot:

I personally HATE replica parts... They ruin it for all the top quality guys who actually put in all the R&D. I understand the cost difference is huge but you get what you pay for.. I had zero issues with my amuse kit.. in fact it wasnt even installed by a body shop, did it with Dan and Tony over at F.I. I say authentic or dont do it at all!

Sadly that's most of this site....

Some parts are completely out of reach however! I'm rocking the Amuse over fenders that no has been able to purchase because how expensive it is.

Does anyone know where to get that front diffuser under his front part of the kit?

cooltoy 10-30-2013 09:27 AM

Hyunsoo does, since it is his car. I think it's a Mazda piece or for some other car.

They are winglets and were made by ARC for the EVO.

Are you referring to my opinion as being sad? Not sure I understand.

He said its "sad" that most of the site has a replica Amuse kit on.

Honestly, I can't tell the difference between a real one and a replica, nor can anyone else.

Either way, the cars posted in this thread is rocking a design by Powerhouse Amuse, I'm not here to judge anyone, I'm just here to appreciate the design.

Rocking is a funny way of saying blatantly copying / stealing... but whatever..

I personally can't stand the replica **** on this forum. But I guess if replica parts are good enough for someone, no amount of calling people out on it is going to change their mind. Taking pride in your build and supporting original designs seems to be a lost art lately..

Funny that I see posts in the Sema thread with people complaining that probably nothing new is coming out for our cars.. Hmm wonder why that would be? Why should any company design new parts for our car when some hack company will just make a copy of it.

not defending replica or otherwise but if its cool its going to get copied regardless of how looked down upon it is.

in fact, id say replica's force the starter companies to come out with newer designs so they continue to make profit off it. all the in style design houses right now aren't even original.
RWB = fenders and canards everywhere with deep dish wheels
LBWORKS = fenders and diffusers

that said, theres nothing cooler than a full authentic mugen car, but not everyone has $30k to spend on aero for a $15k car....|

oh and my amuse just arrived today so i'll hopefully have something to post here before it snows~! <3 <3 <3

It is called competition and free market. Why shouldn't someone else say "hey, that kit is ridiculously expensive and we can still profit off it by selling it for half the cost!" ALL companies do this. It just so happens that we own cars that aren't exactly selling like civics or the FRS. Therefore, only a handful of people will ever buy it. Costs go up because they are still trying to pay for the R&D. However, if they were smart, they'd sell it for a bit less and take a loss right away and pay off the development costs to keep anyone from trying to undercut their sales.

In my mind, P.A. did it to themselves. So has half these other companies. If they want to make some money off us, they have to be competitive. When competition lacks and no one is buying, companies quit making parts. And then we sit here and complain. But seriously, how many people are going to spend equal to the value of their car on aero and go-fast parts or just aero alone? Not I.

Back to the pictures...
