Not a fan of close ups but giving it a shot. Time of day sucks. Loads of light and challenging to tame especially with a white car/dark wheels. And that glare on the driver side mirror.

For someone who's so good with PS, one would expect he would take better picures :pics: lol

J/K ;) Congrats!

cooltoy 11-17-2016 02:55 PM

Thank you. All I got is an iPhone 5. I am trying to figure out how to take better pictures.

Something like this might help. :b

cooltoy 11-17-2016 08:20 PM

I know, but that costs money and I am not really into photography that much.

So the last picture was not any better?

BboyZ 11-17-2016 08:34 PM

Removing the glare of the sun, for me its better. But the clarity/quality of the photo not. same as the previous one. IMO.

cooltoy 11-17-2016 09:07 PM

Well clarity is a function of the camera and all I have is the iPhone. I am trying to concentrate on composition, angle and location until I get a better camera.

cooltoy 11-17-2016 09:08 PM

I thought the sun shot was kind of cool, but I guess not so much.

I like the sunshot, but if you can back off the affect of the sun and boost the car a little, it would be a little stronger image IMO.

Thank you for the advice. I don't think I can do anymore with that picture, but I will try in the future.

Think I could get a copy of your original to mess around with?

The one with the sun? I think that is the original more or less, I just cropped it.

How you like?

http://i244.photobucket.com/albums/g...led-0760_1.jpg

axmea? 11-18-2016 01:42 AM

Try taking those kinds of shots later in the day. Sun is a little too high. Need to move around to avoid direct light and cause too much flare. If a silhouette is the goal, take the shot at a lower angle. In the photo, the tree on the left of the sun could be used to diffuse direct sunlight.

ct - is that your driveway?

cooltoy 11-18-2016 08:42 AM

It's just a road near the house.

That driveway ramp vs Amuse.

cooltoy 11-18-2016 10:34 AM

Oh you mean the snow shot.

That's beside my parents house. I would never think of going in their driveway. Huge slope and huge curb. Even stock, I never considered it.

My own drive way, I have about two fingers on the front and one finger under the back of the skirts, going in angled. Just as I calculated.
