0-100: 12.8
1/4: 13.7@ 103.6
60-0: 117ft
80-0: 197ft
700ft slalom: 71.4mph
skidpad: 0.97g

It's the value of purchase that really knocks me out. Looks like a fantastic car, and even more so for the money!

I was going to post about this as I just picked up the Jan '08 issue yesterday afternoon. Notice it says, "but seven years have passed since the 350Z was introduced". Which means it has indeed been seven years since the 350 was intro'd but didn't go on sale stateside til' '03.

I love this car.. but I wonder why the 0-60 is 5.1 seconds?? edmunds and r&t got it in 5.1 but Motortrend got it in 4.7 secs.. Oh well I am going to have to test it when it comes out by myself and time it.. hehe :roflpuke2:


EDIT: changed from 4.9 to 4.7 (thanks Endgame for pointing that out to me).

WRONG!! MotorTrend did 0-60 in 4.7 seconds!!!!!!!!!!!! So.. makes sure you hit that when you do your own test please!!!!

And yes I will try to achieve that or maybe better (hopefully)

Edmunds always has slow numbers. My theory is that they just have some crappy drivers. :p
Road&Track and Motortrend usually post the best times, but you're right in pointing out that 4.7 to 5.1 is nearly half a second. Maybe motortrend knows how to launch this car better? I'm pretty sure they both tested the 6MT Sport versions, not really sure why they were so different.
Either way, the car is definitely fast.. and once people start buying them and taking them to the strip we will see what they are capable of in the real world.

The R&T article says they are using the Touring model (heavier) and at 1500 ft. (slower) If you are at sea level you would pick up between .1 and .2 and dropping the weight is to the base model is worth another .1 at least.

Yeah edmunds does the 0-60 slower but the 1/4 mile came up in 13.4 @ 104.8 mph I am very sure someone else that can actually drive will get this a bunch lower.

0-100 in 12.8 secs is a bit disappointing though. just one sec faster than the old model. exactly as fast as a335i coupe. could be better for 330hp really...
