:( glad your ok!

Titan1080 10-19-2011 07:36 PM

Glad you're ok man! I think I'll keep putting runflats on my street wheels, not sure how much that would help tho in a blowout! Based on my co-worker's experience, I'd avoid the E55, he bought his '06 W211 used from an older lady with less than 35K miles on it and it's been towed from work to the shop several times when it wouldn't start, but man is it a good looking and sounding car!!

Carbon_z 10-20-2011 12:29 AM

thanks guys yea it sucks... Great part is the insurance cut me a check around 38k after proof of carbon work :).... They valued the car BASE FACTORY at 28k and I bought it for 29k new so no complaining. I am actually going to buy a few cars and flip them for profit and save up for a used GTR, VIPER or 360 Spyder... that's the plan atleast ;) Half way there....

SPOHN 10-20-2011 05:51 PM

38K. Damn. Your buying the drinks next time.

cdoxp800 10-20-2011 05:54 PM

Midnight Run 10-27-2011 07:39 PM

wow.. im speechless.. poor car.. at least you are ok..

SP!KE 11-27-2011 12:39 AM

Man that sucks and so does I-20:( I had a blowout on I-20 also, except my right side rear tire blew while cruising to Z Nationals......HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!!!!

LakeShow 11-27-2011 02:12 AM

Wow that's really scary because here in NY at any given moment the road could look like an Earthquake had happened. I actually had a similar situation in my Maxima where the tire just blew out and was able to pull to side of road safely. And change it but nothing like yours. Glad your ok

Carbon_z 11-29-2011 02:55 AM

yea it still bugs me but things are meant to happen for a reason.... im not saying anything yet to jinks myself but I may be getting really lucky very soon!!! crosses finger :)

Zenmaster 11-29-2011 11:19 PM

This would depress me
:eek2:

SAD PART when the tow company went back to pick up car, they said somebody must have stolen the rim that fell off. That rim had the caliper, rotor, the whatever assembly is attached to the actual wheel.. IT REALLY sUCKS but the insurance company compensated me well regarding the mods on the car.

Pretty convenient as this was the blown tire that caused the accident also? :roflpuke2:
