I have the Sport & Luxury packages. But also have the auto trans, so the SRM switch is unused. Mine has everything the dealer could possibly throw onto/into it. |
well that button is already pre wired to the SRM. unless you move the button for SRM or unplug it that spot is taken. Like I said the best spot is the Blank right inbetween the seat heaters.
|
The automatic trans. does not have the SRM option, it is only for the manual trans. The automatic trans. has its own Downshift Rev Matching without the use of teh SRM button.
http://img38.imageshack.us/img38/4498/srmz.jpg On my Z, the SRM button face plate cannot pushed, pulled, turned, punched, fliped, tweaked, pinched, etc. It is just a dead face plate. Since the SRM is only for the manual transmission, and currently there is an unusable face-plate where my SRM button would be, couldn't that spot be used for something? I guess I could try mashing that button face plate again when I'm driving just to make sure it doesn't somehow toggle the Downshift Rev Matching off/on. But I'm pretty sure it does not. If the unusable SRM wiring is under there, is there space enough to allow room for Iron-Man wiring? http://img38.imageshack.us/img38/7695/nobuttonz.jpg |

Damn I want those headlights.....

think with all that black and white that white leds would be better - the blue kinda comes out of no where and doesnt really match anything
|
Haha too late, it has been done. 180|Customs definitely did an impressive job. Those are some unique LED placements that make them standout from the halo crowd. I'm plain jane with my design, so I didn't opt for that concept.
|
are you making them or are you designing for production? cause i want the #5!!!

very nice...although I would have gone with the black housing instead of the white housing. the black housing would make it look more aggressive IMO. also, I would have chosen blueish white LED's like AUDI has rather than full on blue to avoid getting harassed by cops.
this will definitely be a mod I'll look into when I get my Z. |
Getting Gas the other Night :D this paint scheme is freaking amazing!!!!!!

hey, on a more serious note, if one of the ironman LED's goes out, do you have to crack the headlight assembly to replace it, or can you replace them from the back? Also, the whole demon eye thing.... It's black when the lamp is off? Is that because the parabolic reflector inside is painted black? if so, doesnt it get crazy hot....like enough to melt things? Even if its not, it seems like the light output would be lower....or maybe I'm not understanding how the black tint in the projector housing works.
|
From talking with Igor he said that replacing one of the LEDs would not be hard. However, I havent had one go out so I dont know. this question is probably best suited for Igor. The way the demon eye works is this:
everything inside the actual projector is unpainted (remains factory) One LED is place inside the housing at an agle to not only reflect off of the lens but also the parabolic reflector giving you a red glow. If I were to do it again I would have more red LEDs installed as I think there needs to be more out put for straight angle viewing... otherwise they are perfect. |
