What do you guys think of this video system?

Well, we all know that our Z is an idiot magnet. Not only we have to drive our car, we have to constantly dodge other cars plowing into us as well. I wasn't a lucky guy either. Even with my mature driving skills, I couldn't avoid an accident with my previous Z (350Z).

What do u guys think of video system like this one? These seems to be VERY popular in Japan and many Fairlady Z34 (370Z) owners have already installed it on their car. It records video on a SD card from start to stop (I am guessing by watching the video). I think I wouldn't mind putting this in my car.

It's very reasonably priced and it may save you hours of time convincing the cop what really went on, after an accident. What do u guys think?

looking at Semtex's accident scene, this could've been very helpful

Well then it would still show it wasn't your fault. The camera would show the front of the car and if you're not the one hitting anything, then it's most likely isn't your fault. The only thing I'm concerned about this thing is that over here in cali, you're not allowed to have anything on your windshield. You might also get ticketed at the accident scene for having it :P

I think that's a great investment. I could save you a lot of money/time.

Another idea/system to think about is just mounting a few cameras, windshield, rearview, etc. and wire them to a DVR box in the trunk. Saw this done on a 4 door car, STI maybe, and it showed some mechanics going for a joy ride in his car. Any security system setup would do this, just need proper mounts.
