The g37 that Bullit has is over 600hp i think, that should trap 130 something, Its a pretty bold statement saying its the quickest 370z in the country... 127 trap is good, yes, but 530whp isnt that high , as soon as motors start popping and they are built there will be a ton of 370s with 550+ whp... And who is to say no one has built a 370z motor and boosted it ? Not many people actualy bring to the track and post results for some reason. I def would just as jeff did... But its awesome Jeff actualy drives his the right way and enjoys the hell out of it.... Any chance you can post the video ? |

Over the winter there will be a set of twins going on for sure once I sell this kit. Then the Nismo will be built with twins as well. Can't wait look out north east. |

Bullitt G37 may be 600WHP but there is know proof that he is using that power at all, there are plenty of dyno queens on this site. Also for a G37 to even get 127-130 MPH trap it would take about the amount that he has (Bullit). The G37 his just that much heavier than the Z.
Now bringing up cars from the 350z board just doesnt make sense, the only comment that was made was the fastest 370z. I have been a member on the 350z forum since 2003,the 370z has a long way to go to even compare to those cars. To be honest I am shocked that more people from this site dont track there boosted Z/G's.There are plenty of cars on here with 450WHP +. |
Squeeze how does making an example of how over the coarse of the 350z lifespan has lead to a ton of full engine builds + FI not relate. As time passes More cars will be built because motors will blow and people will stick with it. IM NOT COMPARING JEFFS CAR TO ANY OTHER CAR.
I am also surprised that people do not track there cars after spending the money. Why do it to look at it and not enjoy it. I think you and Jeff are completely misunderstanding what I am trying to say As impressive as it is. We are just seeing the start of FI 370z builds potential. Kudos to Jeff for sure. He's Z is bad *** and yes 127 is a great trap just like jnait 12.2@112 is impressive. They both have the best times For na and FI. But I think jnait 12.2 will be hard to beat na. In 5-6 years ( my 350 reference) when motors blow and ger rebuilt, and we possibly unlock vvel there will be 370s driving around with 600+ hp and capable and hopefully actualy showing the Z world that the 370 could be 10 second car... That's all im saying. Nothing from me was putting any of the "Dyno queens" on a pedistool of over Jeff or his car. |
Ok Chuck since you want to take a example of the 350z life span and compare it to the 370z I will go there with you.
The 370z has been out for 3 years , and has 3 aftermarket forced induction kits thats it. GTM pretty much has monopoly. Take the 350z 3 years in motors were blowing up left and right people were building them. You also had way more forced induction kits out there wasnt a monopoly by one company. Also there were more people at the track and driving the hell out of the car's. I can go on and on about the 350z. Now looking at both car's 3 years in the cars are at different places.With the 370z there is no news of any more kit's that are coming out.I had to search and wait forever just to get parts for my build. At the 370z current rate the car will never catch up to were the 350z is.The next z will be out by then the after market and even the people on the forums are totally different. Bringing up the 350z when we was talking about having the fastest 370z as far as trap speed goes is just talking about to me is just taking it left field. You did say Its a pretty bold statement saying its the quickest 370z in country. But hey if you want to talk about the 350z lifespan some more I am all up for it. |
Could that have anything to do with their relative sales numbers? I believe the 350Z sold a lot more than the 370Z. Also, when the 350Z was out it had a lot less competition than the 370Z has now. I don't think it would be too crazy to say some of the people who potentially may have gone FI with a 370Z and tracked it have gotten a different car instead. You can get a 5.0 mustang for cheaper than the Z and it is a lot cheaper and easier to mod for bigger HP numbers. I realize that its not exactly in the same class as the Z, but if it can hang with an M3 at the track for less than the price of the Z, it has to be taking a good chunk of sales away from the 370Z.

At the end of the day 530whp SAE is a lot of power for a stock block 370z to be running around on the street and not some glory dyno run.

The 350 reference could of been car a and car b.

lmao, JK .... Poor OP just found out more than he wanted about Jeffs car and some of our bickering habbits... Squeeze I may very well be interested especially if its in the Winter.. I was planning on selling my wheels and grabbing some lightweight wheels and with me not driving around burning 50 bucks every two days on gas in the winter I should def have to spare cash... Im just not sure if I am going to be pleased with 450... id be more like jeff and push the car as hard as possible, which in the end will end up costing me a fortune lol... Im still up in the air about grabbing my brothers 350 too... I can just take over his payments and get it for under 5k , may buy it to built that in the future |
